heal.abstract	Η βιώσιμη γέφυρα κάνει επίσημα την εμφάνισή της το Μεσαίωνα, ενώ οι ραγδαίες αλλαγές της βιομηχανικής επανάστασης θα επιφέρουν την εξαφάνισή της. Πρόσφατα, μια έκθεση στο Λονδίνο με τίτλο Living Bridges εγκαινιάζει το ενδεχόμενο επαναφοράς της υβριδικής υποδομής στη σύγχρονη μητρόπολη: η ιστορική υποδομή καλείται να απαντήσει σε σύγχρονα αστικά ζητήματα και κυρίως να βιωθεί σε μια εντυπωσιακά μεγαλύτερη κλίμακα πόλης. Έτσι, η λέξη γέφυρα σήμερα αποκτάει συμβολική σημασία: καλείται να γεφυρώσει ανθρώπους και πολιτισμούς.	el
