heal.generalDescription	Η παρούσα διπλωματική καταπιάνεται με ζητήματα που αφορούν την αποκατάσταση διατηρητέων κτιρίων και την επανένταξή τους στα λειτουργικά κτίρια της σύγχρονης πόλης. Το θέμα μας βρίσκεται στον δήμο Πειραιά, όπου υπάρχει μεγάλη συγκέντρωση διατηρητέων κτιρίων σε εγκατάλειψη. Ταυτόχρονα, ο δήμος προσπαθεί να προωθήσει και να αναδείξει την πολιτιστική κληρονομιά του, στην οποία περιλαμβάνονται ιστορικά αρχεία σημαντικών καλλιτεχνών, όπως του Μάνου Κατράκη. Παρατηρώντας τις χρήσεις στο κέντρο του Πειραιά μπορεί εύκολα κανείς να διακρίνει το εμπορικό κέντρο γύρω από το λιμάνι και σε μία απόσταση την διαμόρφωση μιας περιοχής πολιτιστικών χρήσεων, όπως το Δημοτικό Θέατρο Πειραιά, η Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη, το Ωδείο και η Δημοτική Βιβλιοθήκη. Όλες αυτές οι πολιτιστικές δραστηριότητες έρχονται να συνταιριάξουν με μια σειρά από εκπαιδευτικά ιδρύματα. Αυτό το κράμα δραστηριοτήτων συνθέτουν την κατάλληλη γειτονιά για την στέγαση και έκθεση του αρχείου Μάνου Κατράκη. Τα χαρακτηριστικά του διατηρητέου κτιρίου στην συμβολή των οδών Κολοκοτρώνη, Ελευθερίου Βενιζέλου και Νοταρά αποτελεί το κατάλληλο κτίριο επέμβασης και κατασκευής σύγχρονης προσθήκης για την ανάδειξη τόσο των αρχιτεκτονικών χαρακτηριστικών του διατηρητέου όσο και για την έκθεση του αρχείου. Η λεπτομερής επιστημονική αποτύπωση του κτιρίου συνέβαλλε στην κατανόηση της λειτουργίας του και στον σχεδιασμό μίας προσθήκης που έρχεται να συνομιλήσει με το διατηρητέο, σεβόμενη τα χαμηλά ύψη και δημιουργώντας ένα εσωτερικό αίθριο που καλεί τον επισκέπτη στην έκθεση.	el
heal.generalDescription	The objectives of this final thesis are the restoration of listed buildings and their reintegration into functional buildings in the modern city. Our subject is located in the municipality of Piraeus, where there is a high concentration of listed buildings in abandonment. At the same time, the municipality is trying to promote and highlight the cultural heritage, including historical records of important artists such as Manou Katraki. Observing the uses of buildings in the center of Piraeus, one can easily distinguish the shopping center around the port and at a distance a forming region of cultural uses, such as the Theatre of Piraeus, the Public Gallery, the Conservatory and the Public Library. All these cultural activities come to reconcile with a number of educational institutions. These activities compose proper neighborhood for housing and exhibit Manos Katraki archive. The characteristics of the listed building at the intersection of roads Kolokotronis, Venizelos and Notaras indicate an appropriate intervention building and favor the construction of a contemporary addition to the emergence of both architectural features preserved and to exhibit the archive. The detailed scientific survey of the building contributed to the understanding of its operation and the design of an addition that comes to converse with the historic building, respecting the low altitudes and creating an interior patio that invites the visitor into the exhibition.	en
