heal.abstract	Ως πεδίο έρευνας της διπλωματικής μου εργασίας επιλέγω το νησί Σπιναλόγκα : έναν τόπο μνήμης, ένα παλίμψηστο χρονικοτήτων και βιωμάτων, οι μνήμες του οποίου πιστεύω ότι πρέπει να διασωθούν και να αναδειχθούν. Προς την κατεύθυνση αυτή σχεδίασα ένα χώρο μνήμης - μουσείο μικρής κλίμακας αφιερωμένο στις διάφορες χρονικότητες της Σπιναλόγκας, απέναντι από το νησί, έτσι ώστε να υπάρχει και η άμεση οπτική σύνδεση με αυτό, στον οικισμό Πλάκα. Ένας χώρος όπου εκθέματα και κτιριακό κέλυφος συνδιαλέγονται άμεσα με στόχο την ισχυροποίηση του βιώματος και την πλήρη κατανόηση της ιστορίας του νησιού, πριν μεταβεί ο επισκέπτης -γνωρίζοντας πλέον την ιστορία του- με το καΪκι στο ίδιο το νησί. Παράλληλα, το μουσείο θα λειτουργεί και ως πληροφοριακό κέντρο, για άτομα τα οποία δεν έχουν τη δυνατότητα να επισκεφθούν το ίδιο το νησί (άτομα με κινητικά προβλήματα, προβλήματα όρασης, κλπ.), όπως θα προσφέρεται και για εκπαιδευτικά προγράμματα για παιδιά όλων των ηλικιών. Βασικός σχεδιαστικός στόχος ήταν το κτίριο να εντάσσεται αρμονικά στο περιβάλλον και να σχετίζεται με αυτό (ένταξη), διατηρώντας όμως και μια έντονα συμβολική γλώσσα (ένταση). Με την πλήρη πληροφόρηση και κατανόηση της μακραίωνης ιστορίας της Σπιναλόγκας, η επίσκεψη στο ίδιο το νησί δύναται πλέον να αποκτήσει μια άλλη δυναμική, ένα βαθύτερο νόημα, μια ιδιαίτερη φόρτιση.	el
heal.abstract	As a field of research for my diploma project I choose the small fortified islet of Spinalonga; a place of memory, a monumental and historical palimpsest, the memories/history of which deserves to be preserved and spread. To this end, I designed a Memorial Museum dedicated to the different temporalities of Spinalonga, facing the island, at Plaka’s settlement, in order to ensure a direct visual connection to it. A place where exhibits and building interact with each other achieving the intensity of the experience and the better understanding of the history of the island, before the visitor gets the sailboat to Spinalonga. At the same time, the museum will act as an information center for people who are unable to visit the island itself (disabled, visually impaired, etc.). Εducational programs for children of all ages could also take place. A key design goal was the harmonic integration and correlation of the building to the existing environment (integration), while at the same time maintaining a symbolic architectural expression (intensity). The comprehensive information and understanding of the long history of Spinalonga, could add to the visit to the islet itself a different dynamic, a deeper meaning, a special charge.	en
