heal.abstract | As a last year (ENPC) student, I completed a six -month (6) end-of-studies internship in TRACTEBEL France (ENGIE business group). This document presents my experience in an engineering consultancy, especially in a geotechnical domain whereI could test my ability to deal with daily deadlines on a real project. This work represented a personal challenge that allowed me to try my hydrogeological and geotechnical skills in a SME. Also, it helped me to define a social and professional environment, to discover my profession and in general the working life. In this report, I will present the different tasks I performed from the bibliographic research to the modeling of the fractured rocks in the FEM software FEFLOW. More precisely, in the first part two types of hydrogeological characterization of the fractured rocks is described, the direct and the indirect approach. The last approach is divided on the structural approach (adaptations of the cubic law) and on the correlations between the mechanical characterizations (RQD,RMR...) and the hydrogeological properties of the fractured rocks (permeability, porosity, thickness of fractures.). In the second part of the report, miscellaneous examples are presented and are grouped according to the used method of modelling (equivalent porous medium model, discreet elements of the fracture...) At the end of this report, an analysis with the 2D and 3D FEFLOW is made to simulate the hydrogeological behavior of the site of the project CIGEO. For that reason, several examples were tested by examining the various parameters (number and thickness of fractures, laws of flow in fractures) and their impact on the hydrogeological behavior of the fractured rock. As we shall see in the last chapter, the final model arises from a model of interpretation of the essays of pumping. | en |
