heal.abstract	Το συγκρότημα βρίσκεται στην Ανατολική Κρήτη μεταξύ των οικισμών της Ελούντας και της Πλάκας. Η παρούσα εργασία αποτελείται από δύο μέρη. Το πρώτο περιλαμβάνει την ανάλυση μιας διατηρητέας ενετικής κατοικίας, τη μελέτη κατασκευής και την αποτύπωσή της. Το δεύτερο περιλαμβάνει την πρόταση για την αποκατάσταση και επανάχρησή της, όπως επίσης τη δημιουργία και ένταξη ενός νέου κτηρίου δίπλα στο παλιό. Η ενετική κατοικία χρονολογείται στα τέλη του 16ου αιώνα. Είναι περίπου πεντακόσια τετραγωνικά μέτρα και διαιρείται σε τέσσερα τμήματα από διαφορετικές χρονολογικές περιόδους, συμπεριλαμβανομένου της οθωμανικής. Μετά από μία εκτενή ανάλυση της περιοχής στην οποία συμπεριλαμβάνεται και το δημοφιλές νησί της Σπιναλόγκας, αποφασίσαμε να δημιουργήσουμε ένα κέντρο πολιτισμού που να αναφέρεται τόσο στους κατοίκους όσο και στους επισκέπτες. Προκειμένου να αναβιώσουμε την ατμόσφαιρα των δύσκολων χρόνων της Σπιναλόγκας ως λεπροκομείο προτείνουμε μία καινοτόμο χρήση του υπάρχοντος κελύφους ως ψηφιακό μουσείο με θεματική τη συγκεκριμένη περίοδο . Επιπρόσθετα, το κτήριο στεγάζει τον οργανισμό διαχείρισης του μνημείου. Σύμφωνα με το κτηριολογικό πρόγραμμα, η δημιουργία νέου χώρου ήταν απαραίτητη ούτως ώστε να στεγάσουμε μία αίθουσα πολλαπλών χρήσεων για εκπαιδευτικά εργαστήρια καθώς και μία αίθουσα διαλέξεων συμπληρωματική του μουσείου. Βασικές παράμετροι της νέας σύνθεσης αποτέλεσαν η εξωτερική ενετική περιτοίχιση, η πρόσβαση σε προστατευμένη αυλή καθώς και ο επιβλητικός χαρακτήρας του ίδιου του κτηρίου, στοιχεία που συνθέτουν την βενετσιάνικη βίλα. Η χωροθέτηση της προσθήκης είναι βασισμένη τόσο στον προσανατολισμό της Σπιναλόγκας όσο και του οικισμού κοντά στην κατοικία, πράγμα που δημιουργεί έναν τριγωνικό υπαίθριο χώρο μεταξύ των δύο κτηρίων στον οποίο αναπτύσσεται ένα υπαίθριο θέατρο. Η δυναμική των τοιχίων δημιουργούν διαφορετικές ποιότητες χώρων καθώς εγκλείουν τις δύο κλειστές αίθουσες και ένα ζωτικής σημασίας αίθριο. Η αίθουσα διαλέξεων είναι υπόσκαφη. Εκμεταλλευόμενες την κλίση της, δημιουργούμε μία γέφυρα που χρησιμοποιείται ως συνδετικό στοιχείο των δύο κλειστών χώρων, ενώ παράλληλα έχει την έννοια του μπαλκονιού με θέα τη Σπιναλόγκα και του θαυμάσιου φυσικού περιβάλλοντος.	el
heal.abstract	The complex is located in Eastern Crete between two villages, Elounda and Plaka. The project is composed of two parts. The first one is about the analysis of a preservable Venetian residence, the study of its construction and the measured drawing of its construction elements on site, while the second one includes a proposition for its restoration and reuse as also the creation of a new building next to the old one. The Venetian residence dates from the late 16th century. Is about 500 sq m and consists of four segments from different time periods, including the ottoman era. After an extensive analysis of the surrounding area in which the famous island of Spinalonga – a Venetian fort characterized as a World Heritage Site - is included, we decided to create a cultural centre for local residents and visitors as well. In order to revive the atmosphere that had been created during the painful ages when Spinalonga was used as a Leprosarium, we propose an innovative use of the existing residence as a digital museum of Spinalonga. In addition, the building accommodates the management organization of the monument. According to the building program we needed new space to be created to house a recreation room for workshops and a lecture hall, supplementary to the museum. Basic parameters of the new synthesis are the external Venetian immurement, the access to a secured yard and the imposing character of the building- composing elements of the Venetian villa. A basic element is also the design of the outdoor area between the two buildings, creating a open-air theater. The addition’s orientation is based on the orientation of Spinalonga and the settlement close to the villa, creating a triangular open space between the two buildings. The dynamic walls create different types of space as they enclose the two internal halls and a vital patio between them. The lecture hall is designed to be underground. Taking advantage of the roof’s elevation, we create a bridge that can be used as a connective element of the two internal spaces and also has the meaning of a balcony to the island of Spinalonga and to a magnificent natural environment.	en
