heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία ασχολείται με την ανίχνευση και τον προσδιορισμό των πιθανών οριζόντιων μετακινήσεων της καπνοδόχου Γ, η οποία έχει δομηθεί μέσα στο χώρο του παλαιού εργοστασίου του Φωταερίου στην περιοχή Γκάζι, στην Τεχνόπολη του Δήμου Αθηναίων. Για το λόγο αυτό, ιδρύθηκε ένα γεωδαιτικό δίκτυο οριζοντίου ελέγχου περιμετρικά αυτής, το οποίο επιλύθηκε με τη Μέθοδο των Ελαχίστων Τετραγώνων, Οι υψομετρικές διαφορές των κορφών υπολογίστηκαν με γεωμετρική χωροστάθμιση, ενώ το δίκτυο οριζοντίου ελέγχου προσανατολίσθηκε στο ΕΓΣΑ '87 με τη χρήση του συστήματος δορυφορικού εντοπισμού. Αφού υπολογίστηκαν οι συν/νες των κορυφών του δικτύου, η καπνοδόχος σαρώθηκε με τη χρήση επίγειου τρισδιάστατου σαρωτή. Συγκεκριμένα, χρησιμοποιήθηκε ο σαρωτής Scanstation2 της εταιρείας Leica. Ακολούθησε η συνένωση των νεφών της σάρωσης και η γεωαναφορά του μοντέλου. Η γεωμετρική τεκμηρίωση της καπνοδόχου έγινε μέσω οριζόντιων τομών που υλοποιήθηκαν κατά μήκος του ύψους της. Η επεξεργασία τους αφορόυσε τον προσδιορισμό των πιθανών μετακινήσεών της, τόσο κατά τη μετάθεση όσο και τη στροφή. Επίσης, προσδιορίσθηκε και η κλίση της κατασκευής. Τέλος, έγινε προσπάθεια συσχέτισης της μετακίνησης της καπνοδόχου με τις φυσικές δράσεις (σεισμικές αποκρίσεις και τις ανθρωπογενείς δραστηριότητες (διάνοιξη σήραγγας ΜΕΤΡΟ) που έχουν λάβει χώρα στην «εγγύς» περιοχή της κατασκευής.	el
heal.abstract	This diploma thesis deals with the detection and estimation of the possible horizontal movements of chimney C, that is located at the old gas factory of Athens, nowadays known as Technopolis. For this purpose, an Horizontal Control Network was established around the chimney. Its elements were measured and adjusted using the Least Squares Method. The network was orientated to the Hellenic Geodetic System (GGRS) using the RTK GNSS method. The height differences between the network's points were determined with double geometric levelling. Following, the whole surface of the chimney was scanned from the network's points using the 3D Terrestrial Laser Scanner, Leica Scanstation2. The points were referenced to the network's coordinate system. For the estimation of the chimney's horizontal movements 21 horizontal cross sections were created. For each cross section the best fitting line of its four sides was estimated using least squares techniques. From these elements the horizontal movements of the chimney, ranging up to 13cm, were estimated, as well as the chimney's axis inclination with respect to the plumb line. The chimney's horizontal movements are due either to manmade causes (excavation of the subway tunnel in the chimney's vicinity) or to tectonic reasons (Athens earthquake on September 1999). Since the chimney is situated out of the influence zone of the tunnel axis the most possible reason is the chimney's reaction to the earthquake shocks.	en
