heal.abstract	Η λιμνοθάλασσα Μεσολογγίου-Αιτωλικού είναι μια από τις μεγαλύτερες και σημαντικότερες στην Ελλάδα και στην Ευρώπη. Η λιμνοθάλασσα και η παραλίμνια περιοχή έχουν χαρακτηριστεί Εθνικό Πάρκο και προστατεύονται από τις συνθήκες Ramsar και Natura 2000. Όμως, η σημερινή κατάσταση της δεν προδίδει την αξία της. Πολλοί παράγοντες έχουν οδηγήσει στην υποβάθμιση της, όπως η επεκτατική πολεοδομική εξέλιξη της πόλης, η μόλυνση και οι αυθαιρεσίες. Η πρόταση αυτής της διπλωματικής είναι η δημιουργία ενός πρότυπου σχολείου περιβαλλοντικής εκπαίδευσης. Το σχολείο αυτό είναι μοναδικό πρώτον ως προς το πρόγραμμα σπουδών του , καθώς περιέχει δραστηριότητες σχετικές με τη λιμνοθάλασσα, όπως κανόε καγιάκ, και δευτερευόντως ως προς τη σχέση του με το υγρό στοιχείο. Η τοποθεσία του έχει μελετηθεί βάση του ορίου της παλιάς πόλης και των επιχωματώσεων που επέκτειναν την πόλη προς το νερό. Μια περιοχή άναρχης δόμησης και αμήχανης διαχείρισης λόγω προβλημάτων θεμελίωσης έχει αντικατασταθεί από έναν υγρότοπο από τον οποίο γεννάται το σχολείο. Πρόκειται για μια πασσαλόπηκτη ξύλινη κατασκευή που βρίσκεται μέσα στο νερό και παράλληλα μέσα στην πόλη. Η παραδοσιακή λαϊκή αρχιτεκτονική της πελάδας υπήρξε έμπνευση και συνθετική αφορμή για την διαμόρφωση των ποιοτικών στοιχείων του σχολείου. Η επιλογή του ξύλου ως δομικό υλικό επιτρέπει στην κατασκευή να ανταποκριθεί στο ιδιόμορφο υπέδαφος και διασφαλίζει την φιλικότερη συμπεριφορά προς το περιβάλλον.	el
heal.abstract	Messolonghi lagoon is one of the largest and most important lagoons in Greece, carrying also great significance worldwide. Ramsar Convention and Natura 2000 network include this specific lagoon and lakeside region in their protected areas. Though, the contemporary status quo of the area, is far from ideal. Several factors contribute to the area’s degradation, mostly linked to pollution, expansive urban development and illegal constructions bellow water level. This diploma project, aims to implement an innovative, both theoretically and design-wise, model of an environmental education high school. This school is unique in it' s curriculum, since it contains activities related to the lagoon, _referring to kayaking canoe and additionally, and most important the interrelations with liquid elements and designated fabric. Location of the project, is mostly determined by the boundary of the old town and the embankment, as there lays the limit of the town prior to its expansion towards the lagoon. This area of scrappy construction and awkward urban development, is to be replaced by a wetland from which the school is born. It is formed as a pillared wooden structure placed into water that forms a parallel shape-frame to the city. The quality of spaces is inspired from a specific traditional building pattern along the area of Messolonghi, the stilt houses, which have been used as the main designation element. Wood as a predominant building material, foresees to a response to the peculiar subsoil and enhances the implemented friendly attitude towards an environmentally sustainable and friendly project.	en
