heal.abstract	Ζητήματα που αφορούν στο περιβάλλον καθίστανται τα τελευταία χρόνια ιδιαίτερα σημαντικά για το σύνολο του πλανήτη, με τον κτιριακό τομέα να κατέχει σημαντικό ρόλο σε αυτά. Η εφαρμογή αρχών της βιωσιμότητας στην κατασκευή των κτιρίων επιχειρεί να δώσει λύση στην ανάγκη αντιμετώπισής τους. Το κέλυφος του κτιρίου κατέχει σημαντικό ρόλο στο σύνολο της κατασκευής και ιδιαίτερα ως προς τα περιβαλλοντικά ζητήματα, καθώς βρίσκεται σε άμεση επαφή με τις συνθήκες του εξωτερικού περιβάλλοντος. Μπορεί να συνδυάσει ένα σύνολο παραγόντων όπως η βέλτιστη αξιοποίηση των τοπικών κλιματικών συνθηκών, η παροχή συνθηκών άνεσης στους ενοίκους και η δυνατότητα χαμηλής ενεργειακής κατανάλωσης και περιβαλλοντικής επίδρασης για το σύνολο του κτιρίου. Η βιώσιμη κατασκευή του κελύφους του κτιρίου συμπεριλαμβάνει ένα σύνολο τεχνικών, οι οποίες μπορούν να ικανοποιήσουν τις εκάστοτε ανάγκες σε θέρμανση, δροσισμό, φυσικό φωτισμό, αερισμό, ενεργειακή κατανάλωση και περιβαλλοντική προστασία. Η διπλή γυάλινη όψη εντάσσεται ως τεχνική στο ζήτημα της βιώσιμης κατασκευής του κελύφους, εφαρμοζόμενη σε ένα τμήμα αυτού. Συγκροτείται από δύο κελύφη – γυάλινες επιφάνειες, με μεταξύ τους διάκενο. Υλοποιημένα παραδείγματα καταδεικνύουν ότι είναι δυνατή η επιτυχής εφαρμογή της μεθόδου και σε περιπτώσεις όπως το μεσογειακό κλίμα της Ελλάδας, εντασσόμενη σε μία ευρύτερη θεώρηση βιώσιμης κατασκευής του κελύφους του κτιρίου.	el
heal.abstract	In the recent years, issues that concern the environment have become very important for the whole planet, with the building sector playing a significant role. The application of sustainable principles to building construction attempts to give a solution to the need of addressing them. The building envelope holds a significant role at the whole construction and especially with regard to environmental issues, as it is located in direct contact with the conditions of the external environment. It can combine many factors such as the optimal exploitation of local climatic conditions, creation of comfort conditions for the dwellers and the opportunity of low energy consumption and environmental effect for the whole building. The sustainable construction of the building envelope contains a sum of techniques, which can satisfy various needs for heating, cooling, natural lighting, ventilation, energy consumption and environmental protection. The double-skin façade is included as a technique of sustainable construction of the building envelope. It comprises two envelopes – glass surfaces, with an in-between cavity. Implemented examples demonstrate that the successful application of the system is also possible in cases, such as the Mediterranean climate of Greece, as part of a wider consideration of sustainable construction of the building envelope.	en
