Μέσα από την ανάλυση και τη μελέτη πέντε έργων δημόσιας τέχνης της documenta 14, σκιαγραφούνται τρεις αφηγήσεις για τη δημόσια τέχνη με βάση τον τρόπο που η διαφορετικοί καλλιτέχνες αντιλαμβάνονται το δημόσιο χώρο και το δημόσιο.	el
heal.abstract	This research/paper is an attempt to explore the relationship between public art and public space. The in-depth analysis of five public art project exhibited during documenta 14 in Athens leads to the formation of three different narratives for public space. These narratives are outlined according to the different intakes of public space, public sphere and (inevitably) democracy by the different artists. My argument is structured as follows. First, I present an analysis of public art and its basic features based on current literature. Second, I give some basic facts about documenta (as a whole) and documenta 14 (in particular). Third, I describe the three narratives for public space that came up from my field research and the interviews I made with the artists: The first narrative presents a view of the public space as a scene, the second as a spatial expression of the public sphere and the third as a spatial expression of alternative common and the relations between them. The paper ends with a discussion, conclusion(s) and open questions for further thought. I situate my contribution as an (ongoing) attempt to better understand public space and “the public” broadly through the study of public art.	en
