heal.abstract	Η τουαλέτα, μία απο τις πρώτες λέξεις που μαθαίνει να ξεστομίζει ένα παιδί, η οποία μεταλλάσσεται λαμβάνοντας μορφή διστακτικού ψιθύρου κατά τη διάρκεια της ενήλικης ζωής του. Ταυτόχρονα, με το νόημά του να καθορίζεται μεταξύ αντικειμένου, χώρου και διαδικασίας υγιεινής, ο όρος συνδέεται με ορισμένες εκ των βασικότερων φυσικών ανθρώπινων αναγκών, που φαντάζουν συνώνυμες με την παρουσία του ανθρώπου σε ένα τόπο. Ο χώρος που επισκέπτεται κανείς περισσότερες φορές κατά τη διάρκεια της καθημερινότητάς του, καθώς και οι διαδικασίες που διαδραματίζονται σ'αυτόν παραλλάσσονται στην πορεία των αιώνων τόσο ως προς τη μορφή όσο και ως προς το περιεχόμενο, ενώ σχετ με ένα ευρύ σύνολο νοοτροπιών. Αντιλήψεις που μπορεί εξίσου να αφορούν ή όχι τις διαδικασίες υγιεινής, αναζητούνται κάπου μεταξύ παγανιστικών δοξασιών και φροϋδικών θεωριών σε μία προσπάθεια καθορισμού του εννοιολογικού υποβάθρου του όρου της τουαλέτας. Θρησκευτικοί παράγοντες, η ανθρώπινη σεξουαλικότητα και η κοινωνική αντιμετώπισή της, η έννοια της ιδιωτικότητας και η σχέση των διαδικασιών υγιεινής με νοοτροπίες ταμπού αποτελούν τον βασικότερο προβληματισμό της παρούσας εργασίας. Η σύνδεση με το σχεδιασμό μέσω του χωρικού αναλόγου της τουαλέτας αναπόφευκτη, με τη μετάβαση από τον 20ο στον 21ο αιώνα να φαντάζει το ιδανικό χρονικά διάστημα για την αντιπαράθεση και την παρακολούθησης της σχέσης αντιλήψεων - χώρου και διαδικασιών υγιεινής.	el
heal.abstract	The word toilet, one of the first words that a young child learns and uses, surprisingly enough transforms to a form of hesitant whisper during a person's adult life. At the same time, it's meaning, being defined between an object, a space and a process, connects the term with some of the most basic natural human needs, which appear to be almost synonymous to the human presence in a place. This certain space, that is visited more often than any other during the daily routine, as well as the processes that take place inside it, seem to develop through significant variations over the centuries, in terms of both form and content, while at the same time appear to relate closely to a wide range of attitudes. These perceptions that may, or may not as well refer to hygiene procedures are sought between pagan mythology and Freudian - psychological theories, as part of research, aiming to define the notional backround of the term [toilet]. Religious factors, human sexuality and social attitudes, as long as the concept of privacy and the way that hygiene processes tend to become a social taboo form the main considerations of this work. The connection between architectural space and attitudes that affect the design is inevitable, while the transition from the 20th to the 21st century seems to be the ideal period for confronting and monitoring the relationship between perceptions - space and hygiene processes.	en
