heal.abstract	Το κτίριο Γκίνη στέκεται στο όριο του σύγχρονου πολυτεχνείου με το κέντρο της Αθήνας. Βρίσκεται μετέωρο ανάμεσα σε ένα θεσμικό ακαδημαϊκό περιβάλλον με συγκεκριμένους κανόνες λειτουργίας και στο κέντρο μιας ζωντανής πόλης ,ενώ παρά την φαινομενική ένταση που εμφανίζεται γύρω από αυτό, το σύνολο του κτιρίου παραμένει αδρανές το μεγαλύτερο χρονικό διάστημα. Σε μια προσπάθεια να βρούμε τα στοιχεία αυτά που υπάρχουν στο πολυτεχνείο και στα Εξάρχεια εντοπίσαμε τρια σημεία τομής, τον εκπαιδευτικό, τον πολιτιστικό και τον κοινωνικό χαρακτήρα. Μάλιστα οι τρείς αυτές συνιστώσες που είναι διασκορπισμένες στα εξάρχεια, συνυπάρχουν μαζί στο πολυτεχνείο. Αντιμετωπίζουμε λοιπόν το κτίριο Γκίνη ως τον κατωφλιακό χώρο του πολυτεχνείου καθώς θεωρούμε ότι έχει μια μεγαλύτερη τριβή και δυναμική με την πόλη σε σχέση με τα άλλα κτίρια του συγκροτήματος. Εισάγουμε χρήσεις σε αυτό που αφορούν τόσο την κοινωνία όσο και την αρχιτεκτονική σχολή με σκοπό να δημιουργήσουμε μια αφήγηση άρθρωσης ενδιάμεσων χώρων που αποσκοπούν στην ομαλή σύνδεση του μέσα με το έξω. Διακρίνουμε στο φαινομενικά ενιαίο κέλυφος του κτιρίου τρία μέρη που λειτουργούν ανεξάρτητα και συνδέονται με ένα περίπλοκο σύστημα κίνησης. Επιλέγουμε να κάνουμε διακριτή αυτή την τριμερή διάταξη, δημιουργώντας ένα νέο σύστημα μεταλλικών ημιυπαίθριων κινήσεων ενώ εντάσσουμε λειτουργίες σε αυτό σε σχέση εμε τους τρεις χαρακτήρες που προαναφέραμε . Για να πραγματοποιηθεί αυτό μεταφράζουμε την ήδη κατακερματισμένη δομή κατασκευαστικά θεσμικά και λειτουργικά ανοίγοντας ένα αίθριο στον πυρήνα της σύνθεσης του κτιρίου.	el
heal.abstract	Gini building stands at the limit between the modern technical school (Politechnio) and the centre of Athens. This building is between an institutional academic environment with specific operating rules and the center of a vibrant city. Despite the apparent tension that surrounds it, the entire building remains idle for the longest time. In an attempt to find the common elements that exist in Polytechnio but also, in Exarchia, we have identified three points of intersection in these two. The educational , the cultural and the social aspect. Indeed, these three components, which are scattered in Exarhia in small scale, coexist in Politechnio, especially the educational aspect, because of its purpose. We are facing the Gini building as the threshold of the Politecnhio, as we consider it to have a stronger relation and dynamic with the city than the other buildings of the complex. We plant uses inside the building, concerning both the society and the architecture school, in order to create a narrative articulation of intermediate spaces, designed to smoothly connect it to the outside. We distinguish in the seemingly unified exterior of the building, three volumes that operate independently and are connected to a complex drive system. We choose to make this tripartite arrangement distinct, creating a new system of metal semi-open circulations, while we are adding uses inside, related to the three aspects, we mentioned above. To accomplish this, we are translating the already fragmented structure, constructively and functionally, to an actual disintegration, by opening a patio at the core of the composition of the building.	en
