In this paper we present a study of a visco
-
plastics model from the literature
and then using the mathematica program the stress
-
strain, relaxation and creep
curves are calculated by numerical methods and compared with experimental data
of PTFE material (p
olytetrafluoroethylene) obtained also from the literature.
Additionally, two new models are introduced, a relatively simple and a more
complex with more parameters, where they are also compared with the
experimental data. The purpose of the study is to st
udy the time
-
dep
endent
properties of materials,
as they emerge with monotonic
loading, creep and
relaxation,
with the same model.
The thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter describes the theory of
linear viscoelasticity and presents the b
asic l
inear viscoelastic models.
The second chapter describes the theory of nonlinear viscoelasticity and
ways of approaching it. Also, the theory of the equation of Eyring.
The third chapter presents viscoelasticity and its difference with
viscoelasticity and s
ome visco
-
plastic models are presented.
In the fourth chapter are presented the characteristics of PTFE and the
experimental data.
In the fifth chapter are presented the three models (one of the bibliography
and two were constructed) and compared with the
experimental data of the
previous chapter.
In the last chapter the conclusions are presented and an evaluation of the
models is made.
Finally, the 'mathematica' codes used and an appendix with the
mathematical supplement are listed |
