heal.abstract	Η εργασία αυτή επιχειρεί να εξετάσει τη σχέση της αρχιτεκτονικής με τον τόπο, ο οποίος προσεγγίζεται όχι μόνο ως φυσικό και ανθρωπογενές περιβάλλον αλλά και ως χώρος όπου κατοικεί, με την ευρεία έννοια, ο άνθρωπος, προσδίδοντάς του αξίες και νοήματα. Πώς ο τόπος επιδρά στην ζωή του ανθρώπου και πόσο σημαντικό είναι τελικά για αυτόν να καταφέρει να ριζώσει σε ένα μέρος στον κόσμο; Ποια είναι η αξία ύπαρξης και διατήρησης της έννοιας του τόπου στο σήμερα; Πόσο η σύγχρονη αρχιτεκτονική εκφράζει “το πνεύμα του τόπου”, με ό,τι αυτό περιλαμβάνει; Πως ένα νέο αρχιτεκτονικό έργο συνομιλεί με τον τόπο και τελικά κατά πόσο τα φυσικά χαρακτηριστικά και η αξίες του επηρεάζουν ή όχι τον αρχιτέκτονα και χρησιμοποιούνται ως συνθετικά εργαλεία; Προκειμένου να απαντηθούν τα ερωτήματα και οι προβληματισμοί που τέθηκαν στην αρχή της έρευνας, παρουσιάζεται η μετάβαση των ιδεών που συντελέστηκε από την φιλοσοφία και την φαινομενολογία, στην αρχιτεκτονική θεωρία και τέλος στην αρχιτεκτονική πρακτική, ξεκινώντας από τα μέσα του προηγούμενου αιώνα μέχρι σήμερα.	el
heal.abstract	This dissertation attempts to examine the relationship between architecture and place, where place is approached not only as a natural and man-made environment, but also where human dwell, in a broad sense, while giving it values and meanings. How does the place affect the life of human beings and how important is it, ultimately, for them to root in one place in the world? What is the value of having and maintaining the notion of place today? How does contemporary architecture express "the genius loci", and everything it includes? How does a new architectural project interact with the place and, finally, to what extent do its physical characteristics and values affect, or not, the architect and are used as tools in the composing process? In order to answer the questions and concerns raised at the beginning of this research, we present the transition of ideas from philosophy and phenomenology to architectural theory and, finally, to architectural practice, starting from the middle of the previous century to the present.	en
