heal.abstract	Οι πόλεις αποτελούν εξαιρετικά πολύπλοκες χωρικές ενότητες με μηχανισμούς και διαδικασίες που βρίσκονται σε συνεχή αλληλεπίδραση. Οι άνθρωποι, μέσα στις προσπάθειες τους να συμβιώσουν σε αυτές τις οργανωμένες κοινωνίες αναπτύσσουν άμεσες και έμμεσες σχέσεις μεταξύ τους, με τις δεύτερες να εκφράζονται με μορφή δραστηριοτήτων. Οι ανταλλαγές αγαθών και υπηρεσιών, ως κυρίαρχη έννοια του εμπορίου, χαρακτηρίζονται από χωρική διάσταση και συσχετίζονται με μια ποικιλία χρήσεων με διαφοροποιημένους τρόπους ανάλογα με τις γεωγραφικές, κοινωνικές, θεσμικές, πολιτικές και οικονομικές συνθήκες. Οι έννοιες του εμπορίου, των προτύπων, των μεταλλαγών, της ποικιλομορφίας και της διασποράς δεν βασίζονται μόνο σε θεωρητικές έννοιες και σε αριθμούς αλλά περιλαμβάνουν διάσταση στον χώρο η οποία μπορεί να μελετηθεί μόνο συνδυαστικά και όχι μεμονωμένα.	el
heal.abstract	The aim of the present thesis is to analyze the structure of activities and land uses, as they evolve in certain places of Attica region and create collective types of area depending on the similarities, differences and singularities of these special unities. Moreover, the differentiations of spatial models are being examined in selected regions of Athens, Piraeus and Marousi by putting as dominant land use the retail trade and combining with the existing social, economic, political and institutional structures. An interesting practice of urban land use analysis, the representation of the evolution and also the facilitation of the stakeholders in the decision making for proper organization of land activities, is the use of Geographic Information System. The first part reports the methodology of urbanization's and trade evolution's phenomenon with the use of historical, economic, social, political and geographical terms while the project continues with the analysis of the existing circumstances and specificities. The second part of this study refers to the exploration of land uses by using methods of spatial analysis as well as the grouping of the results in space types. The final units of the thesis tries to analyze the problems and advantages of each study area and type in order to conclude to directions for social, economic, urban and natural environment improvements.	en
