heal.abstract	This dissertation deals with the circular economy and food waste. More particularly, an attempt is being made to evaluate the Waste4Think pilot program carried out by Chalandri municipality. The first chapter presents an analysis of the circular economy as well as the ways through which it can be utilized by households, firms and national states. The second chapter analyzes the EU strategy for the circular economy. The third chapter examines food waste and its impact on the environment. Moreover, the relevant EU policies for this particular sector are being discussed. Finally, the fourth chapter analyzes the legal framework underpinning food waste and its inadequacies both on national and European level. It also assesses whether the waste can be implemented for all the households and firms located in the Chalandri municipality as a first step towards a more cyclical economy.	en
