heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία εστιάζει στην ανάγνωση και αποκωδικοποίηση των πολύμορφων χωροταξικών και πολεοδομικών προβλημάτων της περιοχής του Περάματος τα οποία σταδιακά οδήγησαν τον αστικό ιστό της πόλης να ασφυκτιά ανάμεσα σε σκληρά χωρικά όρια, αποκομμένο από τους γειτνιάζοντες σε αυτόν φυσικούς πόρους, με υψηλή οικιστική πυκνότητα, ζωνοποίηση, και ελλιπείς υποδομές. Στην ευρύτερη περιοχή του Περάματος αναπτύχθηκαν παράλληλα με τον αστικό αστό και άλλα, διάφορα αυτού, συστήματα (ναυπηγοεπισκευή, εμπορευματικός λιμένας, στρατός, πετρελαϊκές δραστηριότητες κ.α.), τα οποία εκμεταλλεύτηκαν τους υπάρχοντες διαθέσιμους πόρους, δηλαδή επί της ουσίας ιδιοποιήθηκαν χώρο και υποδομές. Ο αστικός ιστός δεν έχει πλέον πρόσβαση στην θάλασσα και το όρος Αιγάλεω αφού τα παραπάνω τελούν σχεδόν υπό κατάληψη, ενώ οι υποδομές βεβαρημένες με το επιπλέον του αστικού ιστού φορτίο λειτουργίας κρίνονται τουλάχιστον ανεπαρκείς. Σκοπός της παρούσας δεν είναι η εκ νέου διευθέτηση, ή ο σχεδιασμός της συλλειτουργίας των παραπάνω συστημάτων, αλλά περισσότερο η αναζήτηση του “χαμένου” –μετά την μεταπολεμική ανάπτυξη από την σκοπιά του αστικού ιστού- χώρου, δηλαδή του αναγκαιότερου αυτή την στιγμή πόρου, προκειμένου ο τελευταίος να αποτελέσει μια νέα δυνατότητα για τον τόπο και την κοινωνία του. Ο όρος “αναζήτηση” χρησιμοποιείται εδώ διότι η κύρια πρόθεση έγκειται περισσότερο στην εύρεση και ενεργοποίηση αυτού του χώρου, παρά στον καθαυτό σχεδιασμό του. Μέσω επεμβάσεων στρατηγικής κλίμακας επιχειρείται η εκ νέου πρόσβαση του αστικού ιστού στο θαλάσσιο μέτωπο, και το όρος Αιγάλεω, ενώ ταυτόχρονα μέσω της διάρρηξης της έντονης αστικής πυκνότητας δημιουργείται νέος ελεύθερος ανοικτός χώρος που δύναται να λειτουργήσει σαν μια πολυδιάστατη συρραφή και πλατφόρμα υποδοχής νέων και διάφορων των σημερινών δυνατοτήτων και κατευθύνσεων με σκοπό την σύνθεση μιας “ανθεκτικής” , όχι μονοκατευθυντικής πόλης. Η παραπάνω πρόταση σύνδεσης/ ενεργοποίησης/ δημιουργίας αποτελείται από τέσσερις πράξεις εκ των οποίων οι τρεις θα παρουσιαστούν σε επίπεδο στρατηγικής ιδέας, και η τέταρτη που κρίνεται ως η πιο νευραλγική για την επανεκκίνηση της πόλης, και κομβική για το σύνολο της επέμβασης, θα αναλυθεί σε επίπεδο γενικού σχεδίου.	el
heal.abstract	This diploma thesis focuses on revealing and decoding the polymorphic urban problems of Perama district, which gradually led the urban fabric of the city to suffer from harsh territorial boundaries, cut off from the natural resources adjacent to it, high urban density, zoning, and lack of infrastructure. In the wider district of Perama, various non-urban systems rised since the post war era (shipbuilding, merchant port, army, oil activities, etc.) and exploited the existing available resources, that is to say, privatized space and local infrastructure. The urban fabric no longer has access to the adjacent gulf and Mount Egaleo, as they are occupied by the systems mentioned above, while infrastructure burdened by the extra load became at least inadequate to serve the needs of the city. The purpose of this thesis is not a spatial re-arrangement to help the above systems to co-operate, but rather the search for the "lost"-considering the urban’s fabric post war development- space, which is at time the most needed resource for the urban fabric as it can be a new possibility for Perama and the city’s society. The term "search" is used here because the main intention lies more in finding and activating this space rather than design it per se. Strategic interventions attempt to re-access the urban fabric to the sea front, and the Mount Aegaleo, while at the same time through the “rapture” of intense urban density a new free open space is created that can act as a multidimensional urban stitch and a central platform for hosting and connecting various new possibilities in order to synthesize a resilient city fabric. This proposed connection/ activation/ creation consists of four acts, three of which will be presented at a strategic concept level, and the fourth, that is considered to be the most crucial for restarting the city and the key to the whole project, will be analysed in a master plan level.	en
