heal.abstract	Η παρούσα εργασία εξετάζει την δυναμική της επισφάλειας ως σύγχρονο πλαίσιο συζήτησης για την απορρύθμιση του χώρου, τους λόγους για τους οποίους μια τέτοια οπτική είναι κατ’ αρχάς εφικτή και κατά δεύτερον χρήσιμη για το παράδειγμα της Αθήνας. Γίνεται μια δυναμική χρήση των εννοιών της απορρύθμισης και της επισφάλειας και η Αθήνα χρησιμοποιείται ως παράδειγμα που βρίσκεται ανάμεσα σε αυτές τις προβληματικές. Οι σύνθετοι λόγοι ωστόσο που την κάνουν προνομιακό παράδειγμα για μια τέτοια προσέγγιση είναι συγχρόνως και οι λόγοι για τους οποίους, η δουλειά δεν μπορεί να βασιστεί στην γενική της εικόνα και τις περιγραφές των ζητημάτων της και δεν μπορεί να αρκείται στην θεωρητική διαπραγμάτευση των όρων. Η Αθήνα εδώ προσεγγίζεται ως μια απόκλιση από τον ευρύτερο διάλογο και στις διαφοροποιήσεις της από την θεωρητική τεκμηρίωση βλέπουμε περιθώριο εμπειρικής κατανόησης και διεύρυνσης των όρων. Προηγείται λοιπόν μια ερευνητική διαδρομή που εστιάζει στην βαθύτερη κατανόηση των επιμέρους όψεων που διαμορφώνει η επισφάλεια μέσα σε αυτό το παράδειγμα. Με την εξοικείωση με τα μεθοδολογικά και ερευνητικά ζητήματα που διακρίνουμε στην πορεία ανάπτυξης του προβληματισμού, συντίθενται τα στοιχεία αυτής της έρευνας στον ευρύτερο διάλογο, διαμορφώνεται και μεγαλώνει η ιδέα της εργασίας σε ένα εννοιολογικό πλαίσιο που επιχειρεί να διευρύνει την κατανόησή μας για το πως πρέπει να προσεγγίζουμε το θέμα.	el
heal.abstract	Viewing precarity as a concept, a dynamic process itself, and a contemporary context of debate concerning ongoing socio-economic change, the thesis at hand examines the latter as a possible, different and potentially beneficial viewpoint from which to discuss the process of deregulation of space in Athens today. Precarity and deregulation are used here as interchangeable concepts and Athens is considered to be a paradigm describing how the two processes intersect. The reasons however, initially indicating Athens is a fitting example for such an approach, also work as significant limitations as to how it could be attempted in the first place. The specific nature of its local conditions and characteristics, as well as the lack of empirical or theoretical knowledge about how they are connected to precarious dynamics, suggest we cannot rely on generic representations, of the city or its problems. Therefore, we cannot follow through with a theoretical approach either, based entirely on the processing of abstract ideas . Taking such limitations into account, Athens is approached as a divergent paradigm amidst a wider dialogue, believing that its differentiations from the ways precarity is being investigated abroad, allow for empirical understanding and the expansion of relevant theoretical terms. Hence, this study starts as a course of investigation, set out to thoroughly understand how precarity shapes living conditions, their particular aspects and current manifestations within our paradigm. Becoming acquainted with the methodological and investigative issues that continued to come up, actually contributed to growing reflection on the subject and helped participate in the dialogue from a more concrete point of view. Working from empirical understanding towards an interpretative approach, research findings are composed into a framework made of concepts and ideas. They grow together to provide context for everyday life and social practices as a field of latent and ongoing transformations, and form a train of thought raising concern about the limited ways currently available for their representation.	en
