heal.abstract	Τα οθωμανικά λουτρά του βόρειου ελλαδικού χώρου είναι από τα παλαιότερα της Οθωμανικής περιόδου αλλά και από τα πρώτα που οικοδομούνται στα Βαλκάνια. Βρίσκονται σε μεγάλες πόλεις, εμπορικούς και παραγωγικούς σταθμούς και ανήκουν στις υποδομές με τις οποίες ενισχύονται οι νεοκατακτημένες περιοχές για την υποστήριξη του εμπορίου του άξονα της Εγνατίας, που λειτουργεί από τη ρωμαϊκή εποχή ως σύνδεση Ανατολής και Δύσης. Το μέρος της κοινωνίας που εξυπηρετούν ορίζει την καταρχήν χωροθέτηση και την τυπολογία τους. Διακρίνονται σε λουτρά που προορίζονται για τους διερχόμενους, οπότε απαντούν ενταγμένα σε σύνολα στην αγορά, σε περιοχές με χάνια, σε κουλιγιέ και στρατώνες και κτίζονται μετά από κρατική πρωτοβουλία καθώς η λειτουργία τους ανέρχεται στο υψηλό επίπεδο διαχείρισης των οικονομικών του κράτους, ενώ υπάρχουν και τα λουτρά που εξυπηρετούν την ενότητα της γειτονιάς για χρήση από τους μόνιμους κατοίκους. Ο διάκοσμος των λουτρών είναι θέμα εξέλιξης αλλά σχετίζεται επίσης με τη σπουδαιότητά του μέσα στην πόλη και το γόητρο του δωρητή. Τα λουτρά έχουν αραβικές και σελτζουκικές επιρροές αλλά και επιδράσεις από τις τοπικές παραδόσεις στο σύστημα δόμησης και κατά περίπτωση στη διακόσμηση. Το λουτρό στην περιοχή της Εγνατίας έχει έναν ευρύτερο χαρακτήρα, αυτό της πολυπολιτισμικής συνεύρεσης των λαών.	el
heal.abstract	The ottoman baths in the northern Greek territory are some of the earliest examples of the Ottoman period and some of the first to be built in the Balkans. They are located in big cities, commercial and production centers and are part of the facilities that support the trade along the Via Egnatia. This axis serves the connection between the East and the West since roman times. The position in the urban fabric and the typology is defined by the part of the society that uses it. The baths may serve passing through populations or local people. In the first case they are located in complexes in markets, khan, caravanserai, kulliye or military facilities in the main axis that lead to Egnatia or the cities gates and the bath is usually built on state initiative, as its function is related to the economic management of the empire, while in the second case they are constructed in districts in neighborhood units. The decoration of the baths evolves through time and also depends on the location, the function and mainly the founder. The baths have Arabic and Seljuk influences, but also effects by the local traditions in the structural techniques and sometimes the decoration. The bath along the Via Egnatia has a wider function as it serves multicultural encounters.	en
