heal.abstract	Ο φόβος του εγκλήματος είναι ένα από τα πιο συχνά συναισθήματα που βιώνει ο άνθρωπος στη σύγχρονη πόλη. Η συνεχής απειλή ενός επικείμενου κινδύνου διαταράσσει την ψυχολογική ισορροπία του ατόμου και κατ’ επέκταση τη σχέση του με το αστικό περιβάλλον. Επηρεάζεται συνεπώς ο τρόπος που κινείται στον αστικό χώρο, οι διαδρομές που επιλέγει, ο τρόπος που κτίζει. Σκοπός της παρούσας εργασίας είναι να διερευνηθεί ακριβώς ο τρόπος μέσα από τον οποίο το συναίσθημα του φόβου μεταμορφώνει τον αστικό χώρο, καθώς και να τεθούν ερωτήματα σχετικά με τις επιπτώσεις μιας αρχιτεκτονικής βασισμένης στην οχύρωση και την επιτήρηση. Το θέμα μελετάται πιο συγκεκριμένα υπό το παράδειγμα της Morelia, μιας μεσαίου μεγέθους πόλης του Μεξικού, όπου -σε αντίθεση με πολλά δυτικά παραδείγματα- παρουσιάζεται μια πιο έντονη συσχέτιση μεταξύ των επιπέδων εγκληματικότητας και του φόβου του εγκλήματος.	el
heal.abstract	Fear of crime is one of the most common feelings experienced by the human in the contemporary city. The constant threat of a forthcoming danger disturbs the psychological balance of the person and consequently his relationship with the urban environment. Therefore, fear of crime influences his way of movement in the urban space, the routes that are being chosen and the way he builds. The aim of this dissertation is to research the way through which fear transforms the urban environment as well as to pose questions regarding the impact of an architecture based on fortification and surveillance. The subject is furthermore investigated through the case study of Morelia, a mid-size city of Mexico, where -as opposed to many western examples- there is a more tight relevance between crime rates and fear of crime.	en
