heal.abstract	«Ρεαλισμός είναι η άποψη ότι τα υλικά αντικείμενα υπάρχουν εξωτερικά προς εμάς και ανεξάρτητα από την αισθητηριακή μας εμπειρία. Έτσι, ο ρεαλισμός αντιτίθεται στον ιδεαλισμό, ο οποίος υποστηρίζει ότι δεν υπάρχουν τέτοια υλικά αντικείμενα ή εξωτερι- κές πραγματικότητες χωριστά από τη γνώση μας ή τη συνείδηση που έχουμε γι’ αυτά, ώστε ολόκληρο το σύμπαν να εξαρτάται από το νου ή από κάτι νοητικό.» 1 Αυτός είναι ένας ‘’παραδοσιακός’’ ορισμός του ρεαλισμού που δίνει ο Hirst στην Encyclopedia of Philosophy και αντιπροσωπεύει το κύριο φιλοσοφικό ρεύμα, το ρεύμα του μαθηματικού ρεαλισμού του 19ου αιώνα. Το πρόγραμμα θεμελίωσης των μαθηματικών που υποστηρίζεται φιλοσοφικά από το μαθηματικό ρεαλισμό, συνδέεται με το έργο του Hilbert, του Gödel, του Quine και των επιγόνων του. Παράλληλα δημιουργήθηκε ένα δεύτερο φιλοσοφικό ρεύμα αντίθετο με το ήδη υπάρχον, το ρεύμα του μαθηματι- κού αντιρεαλισμού το οποίο συνδέεται με το έργο του Brouwer, του Heyting, του Dummett, κ.ά. Σ’ αυτή την εργασία γίνεται μια ιστορική προσέγγιση των φιλοσοφικών τάσεων στα μαθηματικά της εποχής, αναλύονται οι απόψεις και οι ιδέες των υποστηρικτών του ρε- αλισμού και του αντιρεαλισμού και τέλος γίνεται μια προσπάθεια εύρεσης κοινού πε- δίου ανάπτυξης του ρεαλισμού και του ιντουισιονισμού με σκοπό τη γεφύρωση των διαφορών και την κοινή ανάπτυξη των δύο σχολών, όσο αυτό είναι εφικτό.	el
heal.abstract	Realism is the view that material objects exist externally to us and regardless of our sensory experience. Thus, pragmatism is opposed to idealism, which argues that there are no such material objects or external realities separate from our knowledge or from the consciousness we have of them so that the whole universe depends on the mind or something mental’’. This is a ‘’traditional’’ definition of realism that Hirst gives to the Encyclopedia of Philosophy and represents the main philosophical current, the stream of mathematical re- alism of the 19th century. The mathematical foundation program supported philosophi- cally by mathematical realism is linked to the work of Hilbert, Gödel, Quine and his de- scendants. At the same time, a second philosophical stream was created, contrary to the existing one, the stream of mathematical antirealism associated with the work of Brouwer, Heyting, Dummett, and others. In this paper a historical approach to the philosophical trends in the mathematics of the time is carried out, the views and ideas of supporters of realism and antirealism are analyzed, and finally, an attempt is made to find a common field of realism and intui- tionism in order to bridge the differences and the mutual development of the two schools as far as possible.	en
