In the current thesis
it’s being developed a
design for
Knee Implant
,
to be
used in Total Knee Replacement in order to help people with injured meniscus,
cruciate ligament or other knee ligaments, broken parts of femur and tibi
a or other
serious knee injuries,
with the guidelines
of Axiomatic Design. More specifically in
Chapter 1 the necessary anatomical nature of the Knee is
being
described. In
Chapter 2
are given all the must
-
have of every possible design of Knee Implant in
o
rder to work efficiently. The main design is
being
described in Chapter 3, where
3D designs of the Knee Implant are shown with Solidworks Software and it’s being
explained every geometrical aspect of the Knee Implant. Chapter 4 consists of
results of simul
ations ran to test the
effectiveness of the design in everyday
activities of a modern man undergone the Total Knee Replacement. The theory of
Axiomatic Design is being explained in Chapter 5 along with examples for better
understanding. In the final Chapte
r, the complete design is being evaluated by the
principle of Axiomatic Design in order to determine if the Knee Implant developed
is a good design and success or a bad design and a failure |
