heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία αφορά στην αναβίωση ενός εγκαταλελειμμένου σανατορίου, κρυμμένου μέσα στο κατάφυτο ελατόδασος του Μαινάλου. Πέρα από το αναμφισβήτητα ελκυστικό τοπίο, περισσότερο γοητευτική είναι η ισχυρή παρουσία του πέτρινου κελύφους μέσα σε αυτό και τέλος η πρόκληση της προσθήκης ενός σύγχρονου κτηρίου σε σχέση με το υπάρχον. Για την απόδοση νέας χρήσης στο εγκαταλελειμμένο κτήριο, βασική προϋπόθεση θεωρείται η διατήρηση της λειτουργίας του σανατορίου ως θεραπευτήριο. Πιο συγκεκριμένα, η ευεργετική επίδραση του φυσικού περιβάλλοντος στην αποκατάσταση ατόμων με κινητικά προβλήματα καθορίζει τελικά την χρήση του ως κέντρο φυσικής αποκατάστασης. Το κτήριο του σανατορίου μελετάται και αναλύεται ως προς τη σύνθεση και τη δομή του και στη συνέχεια προτείνεται σενάριο αποκατάστασης του υπάρχοντος κελύφους καθώς και προσθήκης σε αυτό. Η σύνθεση της προσθήκης υποβάλλεται από τους όρους που θέτει ο τόπος και τα χαρακτηριστικά του καθώς και το υπάρχον κέλυφος του σανατορίου που δεσπόζει στο σημείο.	el
heal.abstract	This diploma thesis deals with the revival of an abandoned sanatorium, hidden in the green valley of Mainalon. Expect from the undoubtedly attractive landscape, even more charming seems the strong presence of the stone shell inside it, and finally the challenge of adding a modern building next to the existing one. For the new use of the abandoned building, a basic prerequisite is preserving the function of the sanatorium as a space dedicated to therapy. More specifically, the beneficial effect of the natural environment on the rehabilitation of people with mobility problems, ultimately defines its new use as a physical recovery center. The sanatorium building is studied and analyzed in terms of composition and structure. Afterwards, is proposed a scenario, for the restoration of the existing shell and the addition of a new building. The composition of the addition is imposed by the conditions set by the spot and its characteristics, as well as the existing shell of the sanatorium that dominates the spot.	en
