heal.abstract	Θέμα της παρούσας εργασίας είναι η δημιουργία ενός κέντρου φιλοξενίας φοιτητών και επιστημόνων, το οποίο θα λειτουργεί συμπληρωματικά με το «Κέντρο τεκμηρίωσης αρχιτεκτονικής κληρονομιάς και γεωλογικής εξέλιξης» στον παραδοσιακό οικισμό της Εξω Γωνιάς στη Σαντορίνη. Στόχος της μελέτης δεν είναι απλά η κάλυψη των λειτουργικών και στεγαστικών αναγκών του επιστημονικού ινστιτούτου, αλλά η δημιουργία ενός ανοιχτού χώρου ημι-δημόσιου χαρακτήρα, ο οποίος αφενός θα εξυπηρετεί τις ανάγκες της τοπικής κοινωνίας, αφετέρου θα λειτουργεί ως σημείο αναφοράς στο χώρο για τους κατοίκους του οικισμού, καθώς και τους επισκέπτες του νησιού. Το μικρό οικιστικό συγκρότημα, αποτελείται από ένα χώρο συγκέντρωσης (υποδοχή, καθιστικό, χώρος Η/Υ, βιβλιοθήκη), ενώ περιμετρικά αναπτύσσονται οι μονάδες φιλοξενίας. Μέρος αυτών στεγάζεται σε υφιστάμενες υπόσκαφες κατασκευές που θα επισκευαστούν, ενώ το μεγαλύτερο ποσοστό αυτών θα στεγαστεί σε νέες κατασκευές. Βασικές παράμετροι που καθορίζουν τη συνθετική πορεία είναι η αναπαραγωγή της ελικοειδούς κίνησης στο χώρο που συναντάται σε πολλά σημεία του νησιού, η ενοποίηση της βασικής πορείας εντός του οικοπέδου με το δίκτυο κινήσεων του οικισμού, η διαδοχή κίνησης και στάσεων, η κεντροβαρική θέση του χώρου κοινών λειτουργιών και η απρόσκοπτη θέαση της ευρύτερης περιοχής και της θάλασσας. Τα εργαλεία που χρησιμοποιούνται είναι ο σεβασμός στην αρχιτεκτονική παράδοση του τόπου, η ομαλή ένταξη στο οικιστικό και φυσικό τοπίο, η χρήση τοπικών κατά το δυνατόν υλικών και μορφών, και η αξιοποίηση των φυσικών παραμέτρων προς επίτευξη ενός ευχάριστου μικροκλίματος.	el
heal.abstract	The subject of this paper is the creation of a hospitality centre for students and scientists, which will contribute to the improvement of the “Architectural Heritage Documentation and Geological Advancement” centre’s functionality among the traditional settlement “Exo Gonia” in Santorini. The purpose of this study is not the plain coverage of the functioning and lodging needs of the scientific institute, but the creation of an open space semi-public place, which will on one hand serve the needs of the local community, while also functioning as a reference point in the area for the local inhabitants as well as the island’s visitors. The small residential complex is constituted by a gathering place (reception, living room, PC space, library), while the lodging units are extended on the perimeter. Part of those are housed into pre-existing abodes embedded into the hill which be restored, while the majority will be hosted in new buildings. The fundamental parameters that define the creative procedure is the reproduction of the spiral movement in space that so often is noticed in many parts of the island, the unification of the basic course within the site with the traffic network of the settlement, the succession of motion and halt, the central placement of the social functions space and the unobstructed view of the wider area and sea. The tools used are respect to the local architectural tradition, the smooth integration into the residential and natural landscape, the use of local materials and shapes to the utmost possible degree and the utilization of physical parameters towards the achievement of a pleasant micro-climate.	en
