heal.abstract	Το θέμα της διπλωματικής αφορά στον σχεδιασμό ενός χώρου ικανού να φιλοξενήσει φεστιβάλ μουσικής μεσαίας και μεγάλης κλίμακας στα πρώην λατομεία της τσιμεντοβιομηχανίας ΤΙΤΑΝ στην Ελευσίνα. Η συνθετική διαδικασία κάνει αναφορές στα Ελευσίνια Μυστήρια, μεταφράζοντας τη γιορτινή και μυστικιστική τους φύση σε μια σύγχρονη εκδοχή της και επανεξετάζει την έννοια του φεστιβάλ και την απόδοσή του σε εγκαταστάσεις με σκοπό την καλύτερη δυνατή έκφραση της εμπειρίας της ζωντανής μουσικής και όχι απλά την στέγαση αυτής. Το φεστιβάλ αναπτύσσεται μέσω της Αρένας (Στάδιο του Helysium) και τριών μικρότερων σκηνών (Ύψωμα 21, Ύψωμα 32 και Πρόρρησις) που απλώνονται στο τοπίο. Η Αρένα διαμορφώνεται από το Στέγαστρο, το οποίο την περιβάλλει και καταλήγει στην κεντρική σκηνή. Οι κατασκευές αποτελούνται από μια σειρά κοκκάλων, αποτελούμενων από ξύλινα μέλη (πλευρό, αντιρίδα, δοκός) που συνδέονται μεταξύ τους με μεταλλικούς συνδέσμους και συνδεόμενων κατά μήκος ώστε να σχηματίσουν τους όγκους των κτιρίων. Το χρονοδιάγραμμα του φεστιβάλ βασίζεται στις τελετές των Μυστηρίων, εστιάζοντας στην προετοιμασία για το βίωμα του Θανάτου, το ίδιο το βίωμα και την επερχόμενη Αναγέννηση. Οι επισκέπτες ξεφαντώνουν στις μικρές σκηνές μέχρι που ένα Κάλεσμα φωτός και ήχου τους οδηγεί ως Πομπή (Ιάκχου) στην είσοδο της Αρένας, όπου «βιώνουν» μια έκφανση του Θανάτου μέσω μιας οπτικοακουστικής εγκατάστασης και στη συνέχεια αναγεννώνται, οπότε και ξεκινά η μεγάλη γιορτή στην κεντρική σκηνή.	el
heal.abstract	The subject of the thesis concerns the design of a space capable of hosting medium and large scale music festivals in the former TITAN cement quarries in Eleusis. The design process makes references to the Eleusinian Mysteries, translating their festive and mystical nature into a contemporary version of it, and re-examines the concept of the festival and its realization in facilities in order to better express the live music experience rather than just housing it. The festival takes place in the Arena (Helysium Stadium) and three smaller stages (Mount_21, Mount_32 and Prorrisis) that lay out along the landscape. The Arena is formed by the entity of Stegastro, which surrounds it and ends up in the central stage. The structures consist of a series of bones, composed by wooden members (ribs, anchors, beams) that are put together by metal joints, that connect with each other in a linear manner to form the bulk of the buildings. The festival's schedule is based on the Mysteries’ ceremonies, focusing on the preparation for the experience of Death, the experience itself and the forthcoming Rebirth. Visitors roam and party in the small scenes until a Calling of sound and light leads them through a Procession (Pompi Iakhou) at the entrance of the Arena, where they "experience" a manifestation of Death through an audiovisual installation and then they are reborn, whereupon the grand celebration begins on the main scene.	en
