heal.abstract	Αντικείμενο της ερευνητικής μας εργασίας αποτελεί́ η εκπαιδευτική́ διάσταση του σχολικού́ χώρου στην αρχιτεκτονική́ του Herman Hertzberger. Συγκεκριμένα, εξετάζεται πώς το σχολικό́ περιβάλλον, μέσα από́ το σχεδιασμό́ του, αναδεικνύεται σε πεδίο αγωγής, συμβάλλοντας στη νοητική́ ανάπτυξη και κοινωνικοποίηση του παιδιού. Αρχικά́, προκειμένου να κατανοήσουμε ουσιαστικότερα το έργο του Herman Hertzberger, θα αναφερθούμε στις εξελίξεις, τα ρεύματα και τις συνθήκες της εποχής του, που διαμορφώσαν τις αντιλήψεις του για τον κόσμο, την κοινωνία και κατ’ επέκταση για την αρχιτεκτονική́. Στη συνέχεια, γίνεται μία συνοπτική́ αναφορά́ στις δύο σημαντικότερες πηγές έμπνευσης και επιρροής του, όσον αφορά́ το σχεδιασμό́ σχολικών κτηρίων: την παιδαγωγική́ μέθοδο της Maria Montessori και την αρχιτεκτονική́ διδασκαλία του μέντορα και συνεργάτη του Aldo van Eyck. Στο τρίτο μέρος της εργασίας, η έρευνα εστιάζει στο παράδειγμα της σχολής Montessori στο Delft (1960) και των σχολείων Apollo στο Amsterdam (1968). Με εργαλείο επτά θεματικές ενότητες – δίπολα, θα πραγματοποιηθεί́ η ανάλυση των δύο σχολείων, έτσι ώστε κάθε φορά́ να εξετάζονται με βάση ένα διαφορετικό́ κριτήριο οι αρχιτεκτονικές χειρονομίες και συνθετικές επιλογές, που χρησιμοποιούνται, με στόχο τη δημιουργία ενός χώρου αγωγής.	el
heal.abstract	The subject of our thesis is the educational aspect of the school space in Herman Hertzberger's architecture. In particular, it investigates how the design of the school environment can contribute to learning, as well as to the child's mental development and socialization skills. First, in order to gain a deeper understanding of Herman Hertzberger's work, we look into the events and conditions of his time that shaped his perceptions of the world, society and, by extension, architecture. This is followed by a brief exploration of his two most important sources of inspiration and influence on the design of school buildings which are Maria Montessori's pedagogical approach, and Aldo van Eyck's mentoring and architectural teaching. In the final part of the thesis, the research focuses on the example of Montessori School in Delft (1960) and Apollo Schools in Amsterdam (1968). We analyze the two school paradigms using seven different sections-dipoles, in order to determine the architectural gestures and synthetic choices used, which can help infuse a true learning experience into the school environment.	en
