heal.abstract	Η Κύπρος τα τελευταία χρόνια έχει σημειώσει ραγδαία εξέλιξη στον τομέα των κατασκευών, με δεκάδες έργα μεγάλης κλίμακας να ανεγείρονται, το ένα μετά το άλλο, δημιουργώντας ερωτήματα αναφορικά με την προέλευσή τους, ιδιαίτερα εν μέσω της συγκεκριμένης περιόδου, κατά την οποία η κυπριακή οικονομία βιώνει σχετική ύφεση. Με μια μικρή έρευνα, αντιλαμβάνεται κανείς ότι οι εν λόγω αναπτύξεις, δεν αποτελούν κάτι άλλο, παρά παράγωγα της εφαρμογής διαφόρων κρατικών στρατηγικών, οι οποίες αποσκοπούν στην αναβάθμιση της Κύπρου σε συγκεκριμένους τομείς, με απώτερο στόχο, το ωφέλημα της κυπριακής οικονομίας και κατά συνέπεια της κυπριακής κοινωνίας. Μπορούμε όμως πραγματικά να μιλάμε για ώφελος; Πέραν απο τον σκοπό για τον οποίο οι νέες αναπτύξεις συντελούνται, η δομή και η μορφή των οικοδομημάτων τους, διαμορφώνουν την ίδια στιγμή και το χαρακτήρα και την όψη του αστικού περιβάλλοντος στο οποίο δομούνται. Κατά πόσο η νέα αυτή όψη και χαρακτήρας, εκπροσωπούν τον τόπο και το λαό, τους οποίους τα νέα έργα προτίθενται να ωφελέσουν;	el
heal.abstract	Through the last few years, the island of Cyprus, has noted a rapid development in the sector of building construction, with dozens of large scale projects, being erected, one after the other, obligating one question about their origin and their target audience, especially throughout an era, in which, Cypriot economy experienced an unprecedented recession. By some research, one realizes that the aforementioned developments are nothing more than derivatives of the implementation of government’s decisions, which aim at the enhancing of Cyprus, in specific fields, so that Cypriot’s economy, and consequently, society, restore. But, can we genuinely talk about restoration? Excluded of the purpose of new developments’ erections, the structure and the shape of their buildings, simultaneously, form the character, and the appearance of the urban area, in which they are structured into. Is this new form and appearance representing the place and the people new projects intend to benefit?	en
