heal.abstract	Η παρούσα ερευνητική στοχεύει στην αποκωδικοποίηση της πορείας του χρώματος, χρησιμοποιώντας την “υλική” υπόσταση του αρχιτεκτονήματος, σε συνδυασμό με τις κοινωνικοπολιτικές και πολιτισμικές συνθήκες. Πηγή άντλησης πληροφοριών αποτέλεσε το ελληνικό τοπίο, όπου αναλύουμε το παράδειγμα της Μάνης, των Κυκλάδων και των Δωδεκανήσων. Ξεκινώντας από τον 14ο αιώνα με επιρροές από Βενετούς και Φράγκους, διανύοντας την μεσοπολεμική περίοδο με τη στροφή προς το μοντέρνο κίνημα, την περίοδο της δικτατορίας επί Μεταξά και το καθολικό άσπρισμα των νησιών, αλλά και την μεταπολεμική περίοδο που ακολούθησε, αναζητούμε τις αιτίες χρωματισμού (η μη) της λαϊκής αρχιτεκτονικής του τόπου αυτού, μέσα από το έργο ερευνητών του χρώματος, εικαστικών και αρχιτεκτόνων, καθώς και προσωπικών βιωμάτων και παρατηρήσεων. Τα λαϊκά κτίσματα χρησιμοποιούνται σε αυτή την ερευνητική, διότι το χρώμα δεν μπορεί να μελετηθεί από μόνο του.	el
heal.abstract	The present research aims at decoding the “path of colour”, through the analysis of buildings and their materials, in combination with social and cultural conditions of that time. We focused on the Greek landscape, using the examples of Mani and the islands of Cyclades and Dodecanese. Historically, the research of greek folk architecture starts in the 14th century with influences from the Venetians and the Franks, continues through the interwar period with the modern movement in architecture and the period of the dictatorship of Metaxas where the buildings were forced by the law to be whitewashed, just to end up with the post-war period that came after. The work of researchers, artists and architects, as well as our personal experiences and observations were used to answer the research’s questions about the coloring of the buildings. The analysis of folk architecture buildings was done in order to study the colour, which cannot be separated by the building and studied on its own.	en
