heal.abstract	Στην εργασία αυτή, διερευνώνται το πρόγραμμα, οι πολεοδομικές-χωρικές σχέσεις, αλλά και οι κτιριολογικές ανάγκες, ενός διαγενεακού κέντρου. Το πρόγραμμα τοποθετείται σε μία περιοχή της Αθήνας ιδιαίτερης σημασίας, σε έναν χώρο αδόμητου πράσινου, στην περιοχή των Κουντουριώτικων πίσω από το στάδιο «Απόστολος Νικολαΐδης» στην λεωφόρο Αλεξάνδρας. Σύμφωνα με ιστορικές αναφορές, από τις αρχές του 20ου αιώνα, η περιοχή χαρακτηριζόταν από προσφυγικές κατοικίες. Συνεχίζοντας αυτόν τον κοινωνικό χαρακτήρα τοποθετούνται συλλογικές κατοικίες που νοικιάζονται από νέους και ηλικιωμένους δημιουργώντας μία διαγενεακή κοινότητα. Στο πρόγραμμα προστίθενται ένα νηπιαγωγείο, ένα κοινοτικό κέντρο με δραστηριότητες καθ’ όλη την διάρκεια της μέρας, εστιατόριο, καφέ, βιβλιοθήκη, εργαστήρια και κάποιες εμπορικές χρήσεις που συνδέονται με τους δημόσιους κήπους που συμπληρώνουν το λειτουργικό κομμάτι του προγράμματος. Με την έμφαση που δίνεται στον δημόσιο χαρακτήρα αυτού του πιλοτικού διαγενεακού κέντρου, στοχεύουμε στην προώθηση του νέο κτιριακού τύπου, αλλά και της διαγενεακότητας γενικότερα, και στην επανένταξη των απομονωμένων ηλικιακών ομάδων, που γίνεται όλο και πιο επιτακτική. Συνθετικά, στόχοι είναι η ένωση του πρασίνου του Λυκαβηττού με του δημόσιους κήπους που σχεδιάζονται στο διαγενεακό κέντρο αλλά και με τον πολιτιστικό χώρο Μικρασιατικής Μνήμης. Παράλληλα, η μεγάλη χειρονομία του κοινοτικού κέντρου, δημιουργεί μία «αγκαλιά» στην κεντρική πλατεία του συγκροτήματος, η οποία στρέφεται προς τους κήπους και είναι από τις πιο δυνατές αποφάσεις του σχεδιασμού. Σε αντίθεση, τα συγκροτήματα των κατοικιών σχεδιάζονται με μία λογική ενός σύγχρονου χωριού τονίζοντας την πιο μικρή κλίμακα.	el
heal.abstract	This Thesis examines the urban and spatial characteristics along with the functional needs of an intergenerational center. The project is situated in an area of Athens of great importance, named Kountouriotika, in an open space, behind the “Apostolos Nikolaidis” Stadium next to Alexandras Avenue. According to historical references, since the beginning of the 20th century, the area was dominated by housing for refugees. In continuation of this social character, collective housing is allocated for elderly and young adults, creating thus an intergenerational community. Additional functions are added, such as kindergarten, community center operating all day long, restaurant, coffee shop, library, workshops and some commercial uses, which are related to the public gardens that make up the project. With the importance admitted to the public character of this pilot intergenerational center, our goal is to promote this new building type and the concept of intergenerationality in general, as well as the integration of the segregated age groups, which gradually becomes even more imperative. Through an architect’s point of view, it is most important to connect Lycabettus Hill with the project’s public gardens and with the cultural center of Remembrance of Asia Minor. At the same time, the brave gesture of the new community center, embraces, “hugs”, the central square of the complex, which points towards the gardens and is one of the most crucial aspects of the design. On the other hand, the housing complexes, are designed with the vision of a contemporary village by maintaining a smaller scale.	en
