heal.abstract	Αντικείμενο της διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι ο σχεδιασμός ενός Ναυτικού Μουσείου στην Πάρο. Η άμεση συσχέτισή του με ένα υφιστάμενο καρνάγιο σκαφών, καθώς και η από κοινού προγραμματικές δραστηριότητες των δύο, καθιστούν την περιοχή παρέμβασης ένα νέο πόλο έλξης. Ένα ενιαίο Κέντρο Ναυτικού Πολιτισμού με κεντροβαρική σημασία στην πολιτιστική ζωή του νησιού και την εναλλακτική τουριστική του ανάπτυξη. Η προσέγγιση του θέματος έγινε αρχικά μακροσκοπικά, έχοντας ως απώτερο σκοπό την εξέταση μιας πιλοτικής εφαρμογής ομοίων παρεμβάσεων και σε άλλα νησιά των Κυκλάδων καθώς και τη λειτουργική επικοινωνία μεταξύ τους. Η προτεινόμενη παρέμβαση επιθυμεί να προάγει ένα δυναμικό δίκτυο εναλλακτικού τουρισμού που σέβεται το πολιτιστικό κεφάλαιο των νησιών και διατηρεί την παραδοσιακή ναυτοσύνη στη ζωή των νησιωτών και στην αντίληψη των επισκεπτών, σε ένα σύγχρονο πλαίσιο. Η επιλογή της Πάρου ως τόπου παρέμβασης προέρχεται τόσο από το γεγονός ότι βρίσκεται ανάμεσα στα 3 πρώτα Κυκλαδονήσια που υφίστανται τη μεγαλύτερη τουριστική πίεση όσο και από μία βαθιά γνώση και συναισθηματική σύνδεση με τον τόπο. Η Πάρος διαθέτει πλούσια ιστορία, παράδοση, φυσικό και πολιτιστικό πλούτο, όπως και σημαντική τουριστική υποδομή. Το δομημένο περιβάλλον πυκνώνει στην παράκτια ζώνη παραλείποντας, ωστόσο, σημαντικές πολιτιστικές υποδομές, που μπορούν να αναδείξουν τις σημαντικές ιστορικές παραδόσεις του νησιού. Κύριο μέλημα της πρότασης του Ναυτικού Μουσείου είναι να συμβάλει στη διαφύλαξη και την προώθηση της ξυλοναυπηγικής τέχνης στο νησί, αναδεικνύοντας την πλούσια ναυτική του παράδοση και τη διαχρονική σημασία της ακτογραμμής του.	el
heal.abstract	The subject of this diploma thesis is the design of a Nautical Museum in Paros island. The straight correlation of the museum with an existing traditional shipyard and the commonly organized activities of these two, create a strong point of interest for the whole region. Hence, the whole intervention is conceived as a Nautical Culture Centre with a significant value for the cultural side of the island and its alternative touristic development. The approach to the subject was at first macroscopic, aiming to investigate possible similar interventions to the rest of Cyclades islands in a functional and strategical concept. The proposal’s main goal is to promote a dynamic and alternative touristic network with respect to the cultural load of Cyclades islands. There is an effort to preserve the traditional nautical culture and values in the life of the inhabitants and in the perception of the tourists, through a contemporary frame. The selection of Paros as intervention site derives from a profound knowledge and emotional bond with the island, as well as from the fact that it is rated among the first 3 islands in Cyclades who face the biggest touristic pressure. Paros has long history, rich traditions, natural and cultural riches and important touristic infrastructure. Nevertheless, the built environment is becoming more dense along the coastline, missing out fundamental cultural infrastructure that could highlight the unique traditions of the island. In this thesis, the proposal of the Nautical Museum aims to contribute to the safeguarding of the traditional boat craftsmanship in the island and the promotion of the timeless importance of its nautical culture and its coastline.	en
