heal.abstract	Στο άκουσμα Κύπρος 1974, Τουρκική εισβολή, πρώτη σκέψη είναι η νεκρή ζώνη. H διπλωματική αυτή εστιάζει όχι στη νεκρή ζώνη αλλά στις μαύρες τρύπες που έχει αφήσει πίσω της η Τουρκική εισβολή. Η Σουσκιού, ένας προσβάσιμος εγκαταλελειμμένος μικτός, Ελληνοκυπριακός και Τουρκοκυπριακός, οικισμός της επαρχίας Πάφου, με την συνύπαρξη θρησκευτικών καταλοίπων, χριστιανικών και μουσουλμανικών, αποτελεί ένα δυσεύρετο αλλά χαρακτηριστικό χωρικό παράδειγμα των συνεπειών της Τουρκικής Εισβολής. Η διπλωματική πραγματεύεται τη σημασία και την υπόσταση ενός σύγχρονου χώρου μνήμης αλλά και το πως συμβάλλει στην εξιλέωση μιας σύγχρονης κοινωνίας με ένα τραυματικό παρελθόν που δεν έχει βιώσει. Η κοινωνική απόσταση μεταξύ Ελληνοκυπρίων και Τουρκοκυπρίων επαληθεύεται μέσα από τη χωρική ανάλυση της Σουσκιούς και έτσι έχοντας ως γνώμονα την χωρικά αποτυπωμένη συμβίωση της κυπριακής κοινωνίας του παρελθόντος, ένα ανοιχτό υπαίθριο μουσείο υπό τη μορφή ενός παιχνιδιού χαμένου θησαυρού έρχεται να δώσει μια καινούργια ζωή στα υλικά απομεινάρια της Σουσκιούς έτσι ώστε οι επισκέπτες του να ενημερωθούν, να εξιλεωθούν με το παρελθόν τους και να αποφασίσουν πώς θέλουν να το διαχειριστούν στο μέλλον.	el
heal.abstract	To the sound of the Turkish invasion in Cyprus in 1974, people’s first thought is the buffer zone. This thesis does not focus on the buffer zone but to all the black holes that have been left behind due to that traumatic event. Souskiou, is an accessible, abandoned, mixed village of Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots in Paphos, with religious remains of both a church and a mosque, a truly hard to find in co-existence at the same time representing a characteristic spatial example of the consequences of the Turkish Invasion. The thesis addresses the importance and existence of a modern monument and how this monument contributes to the dissolution of a modern society past that has not experienced its traumatic past. The social distance between Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots is verified through the spatial analysis of Souskiou and having in mind the spatially embedded coexistence of the Cypriot society of the past, an open-air museum in the form of a hunter game in Souskiou’s remains is proposed in order not only to inform visitors, but also atone with their past and decide how they want to cope with it in the future.	en
