heal.abstract	H διπλωματική μας έχει θέμα τον επανασχεδιασμό της κεντρικής πλατείας του Πειραιά. Αφορμή για την επιλογή του θέματος αποτέλεσε μια σειρά έργων ανάπτυξης έξω απο το κέντρο της πόλης, καθώς και η κατασκευή της εξόδου του τερματικού σταθμού της 3ης γραμμής του μετρό στην πλατεία. Οι βασικές μας συνθετικές χειρονομίες στοχεύουν στην ανάδειξη της αρχιτεκτονικής μορφολογίας του Δημοτικού θεάτρου μέσω του σχεδιασμού του δημοσίου χώρου γύρω από αυτό. Συγκεκριμένα, η επέκταση της πλατείας Κοραή προς το οικόπεδο του δικαστικού μεγάρου το οποίο αποτελεί έναν μεγάλο όγκο σκυροδέματος χωρίς χρήση ο οποίος ανταγωνίζεται και υποβαθμίζει την αρχιτεκτονική μορφολογία του θεάτρου. Η συνολική παρέμβαση στοχεύει στην ενεργοποιήση της δημόσιας ζωής της πόλης και στην αξιοποιήση του δημοσίου χώρου στον μέγιστο βαθμό.	el
heal.abstract	The purpose of our thesis is the redesign of the central square in Piraeus .The conduction of several development projects outside the city center , as well as the construction of the terminal exit station of the metro line 3 at the square were the main reasons we chose the subject. Our main synthetic decisions aim to promote the architectural morphology of the Municipal Theater through the design of the public space around it. In particular, the extension of the Korai Square to the site of the courthouse, which remains a large volume of concrete without use that competes with the architectural morphology of the theater. The overall intervention aims to activate the public life of the city and at maximizing the utilization of the public space.	en
