heal.abstract	Incidents challenge the current strategies incorporated in safety management in a way that they provide positive feedback for further improvement. It is a fact that safety –in the sense of lack of incidents, has improved in recent years. Yet, accidents still happen. This paper is motivated by the increasing number of practitioners and scholars with an interest in modeled resilience approaches to incident investigation. In this study, the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM) is applied on fire incidents onboard ship. Two separate case-studies of marine incidents are examined and suggestions that aim to improve the overall resilience of the system are provided	en
