heal.abstract	Αντικείμενο της εργασίας είναι η διερεύνηση της σχέσης της χαρτογραφικής αναπαράστασης με τον χώρο και την πραγματικότητα. Υποστηρίζεται πως οι χάρτες δεν είναι απλώς αναπαραστάσεις του χώρου, αλλά διαχρονικά παράγουν και εκφράζουν νοήματα και γνώση, διαμορφώνουν τον χώρο και την αντίληψή μας γι’ αυτόν, πλάθουν την ταυτότητά μας και συνδέονται με διαδικασίες διαχωρισμού, ελέγχου και επιβολής. Ακόμη, αναδεικνύεται η σημασία της διαδικασίας της αποδόμησης των χαρτών ως εργαλείο για την προσέγγιση των παραπάνω καθώς και την αναγνώριση και αμφισβήτηση του επιστημολογικού μύθου γύρω από την επιστήμη της χαρτογραφίας με βάση την οποία παρουσιάζεται ως αντικειμενική και ορθή. Στην εργασία χρησιμοποιούνται παραδείγματα που ακολουθούν τον κυρίαρχο τρόπο αναπαράστασης του κόσμου, όσο και άλλων «εκτοπισμένων» εικόνων που δημιουργούν ορισμένα ρήγματα στις αναπαραστάσεις αυτές. Δημιουργείται έτσι το πεδίο πάνω στο οποίο τίθενται οι παραπάνω προβληματισμοί σχετικά με την μία και αντικειμενική απεικόνιση του χώρου, την αποτύπωση κυρίαρχων αντιλήψεων μέσω αυτών και τα νοήματα φέρουν καθώς και το αντίκρισμα που έχουν για τον χώρο και τις σχέσεις που αναπτύσσονται εντός του.	el
heal.abstract	This study looks into the relation between mapping, space and reality. It is alleged, that maps are not just a representation of space, but over the years they create and express meanings and knowledge, they configure space and our perception of it, they form our identity and they are linked with operations of seperation, control and enforcement. Moreover, it underlines the importance of map deconstruction as an asset for the approach of what has been mentioned above, but also for the acknowledgment and questioning of the myth around the science of mapping based on which it appears as objective and accurate. In the study, examples are used that follow the prevailing way of representing the world, but also other 'displaced' images that create certain rifts in these representations. In this way, the area is set up on which conserns are araised regarding the presentation of prevailing perceptions throught maps, the acknowledgement of the meanings the carry and also their value for the space and the relationships that are developed within them.	en
