heal.abstract	Η παρούσα εργασία αποτελεί μια έρευνα η οποία προσεγγίζει τη θεωρία της αρχιτεκτονικής σε σχέση με τη σημειωτική και τη γλωσσολογία, όπως αυτή αναπτύχθηκε από τη δεκαετία του 1960 και ύστερα, καθώς και τον τρόπο με τον οποίο αυτή διευρύνει την ανάλυση ενός αρχιτεκτονικού έργου. Πρόκειται για τη μελέτη της επικοινωνιακής διάστασης της αρχιτεκτονικής, τη σχέση της μορφής και του τρόπου που γίνεται αντιληπτή μέσω κωδίκων, την κατηγοριοποίηση και την ανάλυση αρχιτεκτονικών σημείων. Προέκυψε ως ένας γενικός προβληματισμός σε σχέση με τη γλωσσική διάσταση της αρχιτεκτονικής και τις αναλογίες που εντοπίζονται ανάμεσα σε γλώσσα και αρχιτεκτονική καθώς και την εφαρμογή γλωσσικών δομών και κανόνων στο σχεδιασμό. Επιχειρείται αρχικά η ιστορική προσέγγιση του δίπολου αυτού, η οποία στη συνέχεια επικεντρώνεται, πιο συγκεκριμένα, σε κείμενα αλληλοσυσχέτισης σημειωτικής και αρχιτεκτονικής των Geoffrey Broadbent και Umberto Eco, για να εφαρμοστεί τελικά αυτή η ανάλυση και κριτική στο πρώιμο έργο του Καταλανού αρχιτέκτονα Ricardo Bofill.	el
heal.abstract	The paper resumes an interdisciplinary research into the theory of architecture in relation to semiotics and linguistics, as it was developed during the ‘60s and since, as well as the way in which this context enriches the analysis of works of architecture. The paper approaches the connection of the communicative side of architecture, the form, to the way it is being perceived through codes, and the process of categorizing architectural signs. The topic was perceived as an investigation on the analogy between language and architecture, and the role of linguistic structures in the architectural design process. The paper begins with tracing historical parallels between language and architecture, in various fields and times. Later, the dipole is focused on texts by Geoffrey Broadbent and Umberto Eco, discussing architecture in the context of semiotics. In the last chapter, a semiotic model deriving from the previous theoretical analysis, is applied on the early works of Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill.	en
