| el |
heal.abstract | Walking has always been the means of human contact and communication with the place. Perception and interpretation of space is an experience that requires the activation of all human senses and is characterized by subjectivity, in the sense that it is a generally experiential process. However, with the advancement of technology, much have radically changed the navigation in the city. Nowadays, smart cities are a part of a new reality and the technological means that provides convenience to people’s daily lives is the internet of things. In the present work, an attempt is made to list the wandering through the physical, analog and digital practices and their characteristics, respectively. Initially, the significance of wandering with the physical presence - and only that - of someone in the space is emphasized. Then, it shows how we have gone through the years from the simple analog maps with the static and detailed information on the paper, to the age of digital maps with their dynamic information flooding the screens of new, portable technological media. The occasion for the theme of this lecture was the modern urban environment and the young urban traveler, who gradually becomes “captive” of new technological advances and is increasingly absorbed by his smartphone. In this way, reading the space for him is a rather degraded process, as a result of which he moves away from the interpretation and finally its conquest. All of these are examined in the light of the examples given, inspired by our personal experience. | en |
