heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία έχει ως βασικό στόχο την μελέτη, τον επανασχεδιασμό και την επανάχρηση του εγκαταλελειμμένου εργοστασίου “Άνω Εστία”, που βρίσκεται στον αστικό ιστό της Έδεσσας. Παρουσιάζεται και μελετήθηκε σε τρία στάδια, τα οποία και οδήγησαν στο τελικό αποτέλεσμα. Το πρώτο σκέλος, η μελέτη, ξεκινά αναζητώντας τον χαρακτήρα της πόλης, μέσω της ιστορίας και της εξέλιξής της στο χρόνο. Επικεντρωνόμαστε στο βιομηχανικό της παρελθόν και αναζητούμε την ταυτότητά της μετά την αποβιομηχάνιση. Δημιουργήθηκαν γι’ αυτό το λόγο χάρτες και παρουσιάζονται στατιστικά και έρευνες, προκειμένου να κατανοηθεί από τον αναγνώστη καλύτερα, η οπτική της μελέτης και τα σημαντικότερα συμπεράσματα αυτής. Ο λόγος επιλογής του συγκεκριμένου εργοστασίου ως βασικό θέμα της εργασίας γίνεται κατανοητός ακόμα περισσότερο, μέσω της παρουσίασης του νέου χαρακτήρα της πόλης τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες. Η στροφή της τα τελευταία 65 χρόνια στην εκμετάλλευση των υδάτων για την παραγωγή ενέργειας, αποτελεί βασικό παράγοντα για το επόμενο βήμα, τον επανασχεδιασμό. Οι εγκαταστάσεις και οι υποδομές του υδροηλεκτρικού εργοστασίου δεν μπορούν να απουσιάζουν από τον σχεδιασμό, ούτε να κρυφτούν από την πόλη. Σχεδιάζεται και παρουσιάζεται πρόταση ανάδειξης των εγκαταστάσεων τόσο σε πολεοδομικό, όσο σε κτιριακό επίπεδο. Τέλος, συντάσσεται η πρόταση επανάχρησης, που βασίζεται στην ανάγνωση της ανάγκης για αναβίωση της παραγωγικής λειτουργίας. Συγκεκριμένα, προτείνεται η μεταποίηση τοπικών προϊόντων από υπάρχοντες και νέους συνεταιρισμούς, σε έναν τόπο με πλούσιο πρωτογενή τομέα και αξιοσημείωτη βιομηχανική ιστορία. Στόχος είναι τόσο η αναβίωση μιας χρήσης που εξασθενεί στον ελλαδικό χώρο, όσο η ενίσχυση του τοπικού πληθυσμού σε πολλαπλά επίπεδα.	el
heal.abstract	The main purpose of this thesis is to study, redesign and reuse the abandoned "Ano Estia" factory, located in the urban fabric of Edessa. It is presented and studied in three stages, which led to the final result. The first part, the study, begins by identifying the character of the city, through its history and evolution over time. We are focusing on its industrial past and looking for its identity after industrialization. For this reason, maps along with statistics and research are presented in order for the reader to better understand the perspective of the study and its most important conclusions. The reason for choosing this factory as the main theme of the work is understood even more, through the presentation of the new character of the city in recent decades. Its shift to water exploitation for energy production over the last 65 years is a key factor in the next step, redesign. The facilities and infrastructure of the hydroelectric plant cannot be absent from the design, nor can they be hidden from the city. A proposal for the promotion of these facilities as crucial elements of the city is planned and presented both at the urban and building scale. Finally, the reuse aims, based on the needs of the citizens, to revive production. In particular, it is proposed to process local products from existing and new cooperatives, in a place with a rich primary sector and remarkable industrial history. The goal is both the revival of one-use that constantly shrinks, as well as the strengthening of the local population on multiple levels.	en
