heal.abstract	Αντικείμενο της διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η δημιουργία ενός δημόσιου Κέντρου Αποτέφρωσης στην περιοχή της Αττικής. Η ουσία αυτής της μελέτης έγκειται στον τρόπο που η συγκεκριμένη χωρική σύνθεση δημιουργεί έναν τόπο συνάντησης του συγγενή και των ανθρώπων, δίνοντας έμφαση σε αυτήν την τελετουργική αποχαιρετιστήρια πράξη με κέντρο το βίωμα της φθαρτότητας και του θρήνου. Παράλληλα, δίνεται σημασία σε όλους τους χώρους του συγκροτήματος, τόσο σε αυτούς που χρησιμοποιούνται μόνιμα από τους εργαζόμενους όσο και σε εκείνους που φιλοξενούν περιστασιακά τους επισκέπτες. Αγγίζοντας ζητήματα που αφορούν τη ζωή και τον θάνατο, τον αποχωρισμό και τη μνήμη, προσπαθούμε μέσα από τη διαδικασία του αρχιτεκτονικού σχεδιασμού να βρούμε τα χωρικά τους ανάλογα. Το αποτέλεσμα αυτής της αναζήτησης, διαμόρφωσε την τελική πρόταση της εργασίας, που αφορά σε ένα περίκλειστο, εσωστρεφές σχήμα, ένα τετράγωνο βυθισμένο στο έδαφος. Κυρίαρχο στοιχείο της σύνθεσης αποτελεί το αίθριο, το δοχείο συγκέντρωσης όλου του συγκροτήματος, ο τοίχος που δημιουργεί μια σπείρα διαχωρίζοντας τις κεντρικές ενότητες και η μνημειακή είσοδος που φέρνει άμεσα στον νου αυτή των θολωτών τάφων. To συγκρότημα τοποθετείται στο όρος Αιγάλεω, κοντά στον Βοτανικό Κήπο Διομήδους, ένας τόπος που νοηματοδοτείται κυρίαρχα από την Ιερά Οδό, έναν από τους αρχαιότερους δρόμους, κατώφλι της πόλης, που συνδέει την Αθήνα με την Ελευσίνα, και συμπυκνώνει μυσταγωγικά νοήματα και συμβολισμούς για τη ζωή, το θάνατο και την ιερότητά τους.	el
heal.abstract	The object of the diploma thesis is the creation of a public crematorium in the region of Attica. The essence of this study lies in the way that this spatial composition creates with architectural vocabulary, a meeting place of the relative and the body, emphasizing this ritual farewell act centered on the experience of the mourning person. At the same time, equal weight is given to all areas of the complex, both to those that are used permanently by employees and to those who occasionally host visitors. By touching on issues that concern difficult conceptual questions such as life and death, separation and memory, we try through the process of architectural design to find their spatial analogies. The result of this search, formed the final proposal of the work, which concerns an enclosed, introverted shape, a sunken rectangle or even better an enlarged square. The dominant element of the composition is the atrium, the collection vessel of the whole complex, a wall that creates a spiral separating the central units and the monumental entrance that immediately brings to mind the vaulted tombs. The crematorium is located on Mount Egaleo, near the Botanical Garden of Diomedes, a place that is dominated by the Iera Odos street, one of the oldest roads that was the threshold of the city, condensing mystical and sacred spaces and symbols.	en
