heal.abstract	Η εργασία μου σχετίζεται με την κοιλάδα του ποταμού Ευρώτα καθώς και με προτάσεις για πολιτιστικές και φυσικές διαδρομές με κεντρικό άξονα τον ποταμό. Μετά από εκτενή έρευνα συνειδητοποίησα πως η περιοχή γύρω από το ποτάμι συνδυάζει πληθώρα φυσικών και πολιτιστικών στοιχείων πολύ υψηλής σημασίας, που όμως όχι μόνο παραμένουν αναξιοποίητα αλλά κυρίως δεν προστατεύονται. Αφετηρία λοιπόν της έρευνάς μου είναι η αντίθετη σημασία που έχει ο ποταμός σήμερα για τη ζωή του τόπου σε σχέση με την αρχαιότητα, τότε που η Λακωνία γνώρισε την μεγαλύτερη ίσως ακμή της. Η αξία του ποταμού ως οικοσύστημα έχει υπονομευθεί στο σήμερα, και έτσι βασικός άξονας του σχεδιασμού είναι οι σωστικές ενέργειες για την προστασία του φυσικού περιβάλλοντος του Ευρώτα. Μετά από εκτενή ανάλυση και καταγραφή των μορφολογικών στοιχείων του υδρολογικού δικτύου, διαχωρίζω την κοιλάδα σε περιοχές με ομοιογενή χαρακτηριστικά. Με την ίδια μεθοδολογική προσέγγιση, οργανώνω θύλακες διαδρομών με συγκεκριμένα χαρακτηριστικά στοιχεία. Εστιάζοντας πιλοτικά σε έναν από τους θύλακες, προσεγγίζω τρεις τοπιακές παρεμβάσεις κατά μήκος της πολιτιστικής διαδρομής του θύλακα αυτού. Οι παρεμβάσεις χαρακτηρίζονται από μια αφαίρεση και ομαλή ένταξη στο τοπίου του ποταμού καθώς πρόθεση μου είναι να πρωταγωνιστεί το φυσικό περιβάλλον. Σημαντικό στοιχείο της προσέγγισης είναι η ενίσχυση συγκεκριμένης χλωρίδας με αναφορά τις περιγραφές περιηγητών του 19ου αιώνα με σκοπό την αναπαραγωγή της σκηνογραφίας του τοπίου του Ευρώτα. Στόχοι της εργασίας είναι η προστασία του φυσικού περιβάλλοντος, η διασφάλιση και ανάδειξη της ιστορικής και πολιτιστικής παράδοσης, η επανένταξη του ποταμού στη ζωή των κατοίκων και η αναβάθμιση του βιοτικού επιπέδου της τοπικής κοινωνίας.	el
heal.abstract	My diploma thesis is related to the valley of the river Evrotas as well as to proposals for cultural and natural routes with the river as its central axis. After extensive research I realized that the area around the river combines a wealth of natural and cultural elements of very high importance, which not only remain unused but mostly are not protected.The starting point of my research is the opposite importance that the river has today for the life of the place in relation to antiquity, when Laconia experienced perhaps its greatest prosperity. The value of the river as an ecosystem has been undermined today, and so the main axis of planning is the rescue measures to protect the natural environment of Evrotas.After extensive analysis and recording of the morphological elements of the hydrological network, I divide the valley into areas with homogeneous characteristics. With the same methodological approach, I organize route pockets with specific characteristics. Focusing on one of the pockets, I approach three local interventions along the cultural route of this pocket.The interventions are characterized by an abstraction and smooth integration into the river landscape as my intention is to star in the natural environment. An important element of the approach is the enhancement of a specific flora with reference to the descriptions of travelers of the 19th century in order to reproduce the scenography of the landscape of Evrotas.The objectives of the diploma thesis are the protection of the natural environment, the safeguarding and promotion of the historical and cultural tradition, the reintegration of the river into the life of the inhabitants and the upgrading of the living standard of the local community.	en
