heal.abstract	Αντικείμενο αυτής της διπλωματικής εργασίας είναι η ανάπλαση του Κεντρικού Σιδηροδρομικού Σταθμού Αθηνών με τη δημιουργία ενός νέου Κελύφους και την επανάχρηση του υπάρχοντος Σταθμού Λαρίσης. Το υφιστάμενο όριο των γραμμών εξαλείφεται με την υπογειοποίησή τους, αφήνοντας στην πόλη ένα νέο αστικό χώρο, ο οποίος μετατρέπεται σε πάρκο. Το νέο κτήριο του σταθμού είναι μία ελικοειδής ράμπα, η οποία λειτουργεί σαν ρουφήχτρα- πυκνωτής κινήσεων που σε οδηγεί από το επίπεδο της πόλης στον 'κάτω κόσμο' των τρένων και αντίστροφα. Η κινητικότητα αυτή ενισχύεται με τα κάθετα γραμμικά στοιχεία των όψεων, τα οποία λειτουργούν ως φίλτρο βλεμμάτων για τον εξωτερικό παρατηρητή, ενώ για κάποιον που βρίσκεται στο εσωτερικό, η εναλλαγή φωτός και σκιάς μπορεί να θυμίσει ένα γρήγορο ταξίδι με τρένο. Η προσπάθειά μας το κτήριο να ξεχωρίσει περεταίρω γίνεται εμφανής από την μεγάλη τρύπα, διαστάσεων μετεωρίτη η οποία δημιουργείται γύρω από αυτό, επιτρέποντας στο φως να εισέλθει στον κάτω χώρο των τρένων. Το νερό το οποίο τοποθετείται συμβολικά στο κέντρο της σύνθεσης δημιουργεί το φαινόμενο του αντικατοπτρισμού μέσω του φωτός, λειτουργώντας ως φωτιστική πηγή. Το προαναφερθέν πάρκο μπορεί να χαρακτηριστεί ως ένα αστικό δάσος λόγω της καθορισμένης τυχαιότητας του φυσικού στοιχείου, ενώ ταυτόχρονα ως ενοποιητικό στοιχείο της πόλης μέσω των άμεσων εγκάρσιων κινήσεων. Η διαμήκης κίνηση που διατρέχει όλο το πάρκο λειτουργεί ως περίπατος ενοποίησης των επιμέρους λειτουργιών του.	el
heal.abstract	The main subject of this thesis is the reconstruction of the Central Railway Station of Athens by creating a new 'shell' and by re-using the existing Larisis Station. The railway lines "go" underground providing the city with a new urban space, that is converted into a park. The new building of the station is a helix- ramp which functions like a whirlpool that leads you from the city level to the underground level of the trains. This movement is enhanced with the vertical elements of the facades that function like a visual filter for an exterior observer, while the alternation between shadow and light creates a game that can be compared to a fast ride with train. Our attempt the building to be distinguished becomes more obvious from the large hole, that can be compared with the dimensions of a meteorite that surrounds our building. This giant hole lets the sunlight enter into the underground spaces of the station. The element of the water is placed symbolically at the center of our synthesis, creating the mirror effect, acting as a light source. The new park could be characterized like an urban forest. The transverse movements connect the city, while the longitudinal one connects all the individual functions of our park.	en
