The basic aim of this research was to use capture the flow field around ships model with large block coefficient. In that order, two of the most common techniques were developed: a 2D PIV system (Particle Image Velocimetry) and an integrated system
using a Five-Hole Pitot tube to record the wake flow around ship models in the towing tank. |
