heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διατριβή κινείται ερευνητικά στην περιοχή της Γνωσιακής Αναπαράστασης, ενός σημαντικού τομέα της Τεχνητής Νοημοσύνης. Ειδικότερα, μελετώνται μέθοδοι τεχνικής αναπαράστασης της ανθρώπινης γνώσης, με γνωστικό πεδίο πειραματισμού αυτό της κινηματογραφικής σκηνοθεσίας. Μεθοδολογικά και τεχνικά, η διατριβή εστιάζει στις Οντολογίες Σημασιολογικού Ιστού, στη Σημασιολογική Συλλογιστική και στη Σημασιολογική Οπτικοποίηση, ως μεθόδους τυποποιημένης αναπαράστασης της γνώσης, με στόχο την εισαγωγή καινοτόμων μεθόδων και εργαλείων. Η έρευνα κινήθηκε σε τρεις άξονες: μεθοδολογία, αναπαράσταση και εφαρμογή. Στο επίπεδο της μεθοδολογίας, προτείνεται η μεθοδολογία ευέλικτης μηχανικής γνώσης M-krDSL. Πρόκειται για μια μεθοδολογία ανάπτυξης τυποποιημένων γνωσιακών μοντέλων η οποία εστιάζει στην επικοινωνία ανθρώπου - ανθρώπου. Η M-krDSL εισάγει μια καινοτόμα προσέγγιση πολύμορφης σταδιακής μοντελοποίησης σε συνδυασμό με οπτικές μεθόδους εκμαίευσης γνώσης, στοχεύοντας μεταξύ άλλων στην αντιμετώπιση του προβλήματος συμφόρησης κατά την απόκτηση γνώσης. Στο επίπεδο της αναπαράστασης, προτείνεται η οντολογία της κινηματογραφικής σκηνοθεσίας FilMO, ένα διστρωματικό τυποποιημένο εννοιολογικό μοντέλο της κιν/φικής σκηνοθετικής γνώσης. Η προτεινόμενη οντολογία συνιστά την πρώτη συστηματική προσπάθεια εννοιολογικής μοντελοποίησης του κιν/φικού γνωστικού πεδίου από την πρακτική-καλλιτεχνική σκοπιά του σκηνοθέτη. Η δε ανάπτυξη του μοντέλου βασίστηκε στην προτεινόμενη μεθοδολογία M-krDSL. Τέλος, στο επίπεδο της εφαρμογής, παρουσιάζεται το FilmProdViz, ένα γνωσιοκεντρικό σύστημα διαδραστικής σημασιολογικής οπτικοποίησης της εκτιμώμενης πολυπλοκότητας υλοποίησης του σκηνοθετικού σχεδιασμού. Το FilmProdViz αποτελεί την πρώτη, πειραματική εφαρμογή της προτεινόμενης οντολογίας FilMO, και στοχεύει στη βελτίωση της επικοινωνίας και συνεργασίας μεταξύ σκηνοθέτη και παραγωγού στο πλαίσιο του σχεδιασμού παραγωγής. Μία πειραματική χρηστοκεντρική αξιολόγηση επιβεβαίωσε την αποτελεσματικότητα και χρησιμότητα του προτεινόμενου συστήματος, ενώ παράλληλα αξιοποιήθηκε και ως μέθοδος αξιολόγησης της εφαρμοσιμότητας και αποτελεσματικότητας της προτεινόμενης οντολογίας, ακολουθώντας μια εφαρμογοστρεφή προσέγγιση αξιολόγησης οντολογιών.	el
heal.abstract	Τhe current thesis addresses the research field of Knowledge Representation, an important aspect of Artificial Intelligence. In particular, various methods for formally representing human knowledge are investigated, using the filmmaking knowledge domain as experimentation ground. Methodologically and technically, the research builds on Web Ontologies, Semantic Reasoning and Semantic Visualization as methods for formally representing knowledge, with the purpose of introducing novel methods and techniques. The research lies at three levels: methodology, representation and application. At the methodological level, the M-krDSL agile knowledge-engineering methodology is proposed. M-krDSL is a methodology for developing formal knowledge models that focuses on human - human communication. M-krDSL introduces a novel multiform incremental modeling approach combined with visual knowledge-elicitation methods, aiming to address the knowledge acquisition bottleneck among other objectives. At the representation level, the FilmMaking Ontology (FilMO) is proposed, a double-layered formal semantic model of the filmmaking knowledge domain. The proposed ontology constitutes the first systematic attempt to model the filmmaking domain from the artistic and practical perspective of the film director. The construction of the ontology was based on the proposed M-krDSL methodology. Finally, at the application level, FilmProdViz is proposed, a knowledge-based interactive semantic-visualization system which exposes the potential production complexity of the director’s film planning. FilmProdViz constitutes the first, experimental deployment of the proposed ontology and aims to improve the director - producer communication and cooperation in the context of production planning. An experimental user-centered evaluation confirmed the effectiveness and usefulness of the proposed system, while it was also utilized as a method for evaluating the deployability and effectiveness of the proposed ontology, following an application-based ontology evaluation approach.	en
