heal.abstract	Η διπλωματική αυτή εργασία αφορά στη μελέτη του αρχαιολογικού χώρου της Αρχαίας Μεσσήνης και καταλήγει στην πρόταση ενός ολοκληρωμένου σχεδίου ανάδειξης εστιάζοντας στο σχεδιασμό ενός νέου (υπόσκαφου) αρχαιολογικού μουσείου. Η Αρχαία Μεσσήνη αποτελεί έναν από τους σημαντικότερους αρχαιολογικούς χώρους της Ελλάδας και βρίσκεται στο ΝΔ τμήμα της Πελοποννήσου. Μελετήθηκε ένα ολοκληρωμένο σχέδιο παρεμβάσεων µε σκοπό την αναβάθμισή των παρεχόμενων υπηρεσιών και την ενίσχυση τόσο του αρχαιολογικού χώρου όσο και των οικισμών. Αρχικά γίνεται επαναξιολόγηση των κινήσεων µμέσα στα όρια της αρχαίας πόλης και δημιουργείται µια ενιαία διαδρομή που συνδέει τη νότια µε την Αρκαδική πύλη. Πάνω σε αυτή τη χάραξη προτείνεται ένα νέο αρχαιολογικό µμουσείο που χωροθετείται κοντά στο Μαυροµάτι καθώς από εκεί γίνεται η κύρια πρόσβαση σε αυτό και υπάρχουν και κάποιες υποδομές εξυπηρέτησης των αρχαιολόγων/εργαζομένων , νέα είσοδος στον αρχαιολογικό χώρο που βρίσκεται πιο κοντά στο σημείο από όπου µπήκε και περιέγραψε την πόλη ο Παυσανίας, και ένα συνεδριακό κέντρο το οποίο βρίσκεται σε θέση κοντά στον οικισμό Αρσινόη. Το πράσινο γύρω από το χώρο πυκνώνεται ώστε να προβληθούν καλύτερα τα αρχαία µμνημεία ενώ µε πιο αραιή φύτευση σηματοδοτούνται οι κύριες διαδρομές και δημιουργούνται οπτικές φυγές προς τις βασικές πύλες της πόλης	el
heal.abstract	This dissertation concerns the study of the archaeological site of Ancient Messini and concludes with the proposal of a complete promotion plan focusing on the design of a new (subterranean) Archaeological Museum. Ancient Messini is one of the most important archaeological sites of Greece and is located in the SW part of the Peloponnese. A comprehensive intervention plan was studied for the purpose of upgrading the services provided and strengthening both the archaeological site and settlements. Initially, the paths within the limits of the ancient city are re-evaluated and a single route is created that connects the Southern and the Arcadian gates. A new archeological museum is proposed on this route, located near Mavromati for its main access along with some facilities for archaeologists / workers, a new entrance to the archeological site located closer to the point from where Pausanias entered and described the city, and a conference center located near Arsinoe. The nature around the site is thickened in order to better display the ancient monuments, while with a sparser planting, the main routes are marked and visual escapes are created to the main gates of the city.	en
