heal.abstract	Στην παρούσα εργασία θα παρουσιαστεί η σχέση του χώρου με το έγκλημα ως έχει μέχρι τώρα ερευνηθεί, και θα σχολιαστεί η νέα διάσταση που μπορεί να πάρει η μελέτη αυτής της σχέσης. Στο πρώτο κεφάλαιο θα παρουσιαστούν οι αρχικές επιστημονικές προσεγγίσεις της σχέσης εγκλήματος και χώρου, από τον 19ο αιώνα μέχρι και τις τελευταίες δεκαετίες του 20ου. Στο δεύτερο κεφάλαιο θα σχολιαστούν σύγχρονες θεωρίες που περιγράφουν αυτήν τη σχέση, οι οποίες εντάσσονται στο πεδίο της Περιβαλλοντικής Εγκληματολογίας, και συγκεκριμένα η θεωρία των καθημερινών δραστηριοτήτων (routine activities theory), η θεωρία της ορθολογικής επιλογής (rational choice perspective) και η θεωρία των τυπολογικών επιλογών (crime pattern theory). Στο τρίτο κεφάλαιο θα παρουσιαστεί μια νέα διάσταση επιστημονικής μελέτης του χώρου, καλούμενη forensic architecture, η οποία αναπτύσσεται με βάση τη μελέτη της δουλειάς της ομάδας Forensic Architecture του πανεπιστήμιου Goldsmiths του Λονδίνου. Θα επιχειρηθεί μια κατηγοριοποίηση των υποθέσεων που έχει αναλάβει η ομάδα αυτή, με στόχο να φανούν οι τρόποι με τους οποίους χρησιμοποιείται ο χώρος εν είδει αποδεικτικού στοιχείου. Τέλος, παρατίθενται δύο προβληματισμοί για περαιτέρω έρευνα που αφορούν στον ρόλο που καλείται να αναλάβει ο αρχιτέκτονας σε ένα τέτοιο πλαίσιο και στην πληρότητα του θεωρητικού πλαισίου εντός του οποίου δρα.	el
heal.abstract	“Crime” according to the Greek Penal Code is defined as “an unjust act, attributed to its perpetrator, which is punished by the penal law”. The criminal phenomenon has long preoccupied the scientific research, both in terms of causal analysis and in terms of confrontation. Over the centuries, theories have been formulated answering to both the above mentioned levels, often contradicting each other, moving from the edge of someone’s biological characterisation as a criminal to the edge of attributing crime solely to social factors. All these theories, as well as the scientific dialogue around them, have formed to be the field of Criminology, which studies the criminal phenomenon and the way formal social control structures function around it. This paper will present, the relationship between space and crime as it has been studied until now, while also commenting the new scientific dimension that could potentially exist. In the first chapter, the original scientific approaches to the relationship between space and crime will be presented, from the 19th century until the late 20th. In the second chapter, contemporary theories describing this relationship will be showcased. The theories are included in the field of Environmental Criminology and more specifically the routine activities theory, the rational choice perspective and the crime pattern theory. In the third chapter, a new scientific dimension of the study of the previously mentioned relationship will be presented, called forensic architecture, which is being developed based on the work of the team Forensic Architecture of Goldsmith’s University of London. There will a classification attempt to the cases undertaken by this team, aiming to discover the ways in which space is used as evidence. Finally, two reflexions for further research are being formulated, concerning the architect’s role in such a context, as well as the completeness of the theoretical framework in which they act.	en
