heal.abstract	Στη συγκεκριμένη εργασία διερευνάται ο ρόλος της νέας τάξης -βιοτεχνών, εμπόρων και τραπεζιτών- στην ανάπτυξη των μεγαλουπόλεων της Τοσκάνης. Παράλληλα με τις συγκρούσεις των μεγάλων δυνάμεων της κεντρικής Ευρώπης, βόρεια της ιταλικής χερσονήσου, εδραιώθηκαν πόλεις-κράτη με κοινοτικά καθεστώτα, αναγνωρίζοντας τις πολιτικές ελευθερίες, της νέας παραγωγικής τάξης. Αυτοί οι παραγωγοί, μέσω της αξιοποίησης του φυσικού πλούτου της επαρχίας, μαζί με τη γνώση της παράδοσης απέκτησαν οικονομικό πλούτο και εγκαταστάθηκαν στα αστικά κέντρα. Τα εμπορικά ταξίδια και οι εικόνες καθημερινής ζωής από άλλους τόπους, εμπλούτισαν τη ζωή της νέας τάξης αστών. Με την επιστροφή τους, αναγείροντας κοινοτικά μέγαρα, μνημειακές εκκλησίες και ιδιωτικές επαύλεις, διαμόρφωσαν την αρχιτεκτονική εικόνα στις μεγαλουπόλεις της Τοσκάνης. Σε αυτό το περιβάλλον, ο πολιτισμικός πλούτος και η συνέχεια της παράδοσης, με την ενδυνάμωση των συντεχνιών, άνοιξαν τις πύλες για μία μεγάλη αλλαγή τον 15ο αιώνα. Η στροφή προς την αρχαία παιδεία και οι ουμανιστικές θεωρίες απασχόλησαν την αυλή της άρχουσας πλέον αστικής τάξης, τραπεζιτών και μεγαλεμπόρων. Οι μεγάλες οικογένειες αστών, υπήρξαν πάτρωνες των μεγάλων έργων και υποστήριξαν λόγιους και καλλιτέχνες. Αυτές οι προσωπικότητες που αναδείχθηκαν από την νέα τάξη αστών, επηρέασαν το σχεδιασμό των πόλεων, την αρχιτεκτονική, τη γλυπτική, τη ζωγραφική και τη ποίηση, καθορίζοντας τη περίοδο της Αναγέννησης.	el
heal.abstract	This paper analyses the role of a novel social class, consisted mainly of craftsmen, merchants and bankers in the development of Tuscan large cities. In parallel with the conflicts between the great powers in central Europe, cities-states with community regimes were founded in the northern part of Italian peninsula. Therefore, the new productive class gained political freedoms. By exploiting the natural wealth of the Tuscan countryside coupled with the knowledge of tradition, the novel class accumulated wealth and relocated to the urban area. Due to their trade journeys and their contact with the daily life elsewhere, they enriched the urban life. On their return, they erected public mansions, monumental churches and private palaces. Consequently, they reshaped the architectural image of Tuscan mega - cities. In this context, the cultural wealth and the perpetuation of the tradition, with the empowerment of the guilds, contributed to the great evolution occurred in the 15th century. Dedication to classic education and principles of humanism, emerged as the main issue of interest, in the courts of the new powerful urban class. Dominant families of bankers and rich merchants, became the patrons of the masterpieces and supported scholars and artists. As a result of their support, personalities actively involved in arts (sculpture, painting and poetry) as well as architecture/urban planning, defined the period of Renaissance.	en
