heal.abstract	Αντικείμενο της διπλωματικής εργασίας αποτελεί η αναβίωση και η επανένταξη του παλιού εργοστασίου πορσελάνης της Νέας Μάκρης στον πολεοδομικό ιστό της περιοχής, ως ένας νέος πολυχώρος περιβάλλοντος και πολιτισμού. Η Νέα Μάκρη είναι μια περιοχή που ανά τα χρόνια έχει αλλάξει πολλές φορές χαρακτήρα, βιώνοντας άνθιση την περίοδο της εκβιομηχάνισης αλλά και παρακμή λόγω της οικονομικής κρίσης της τελευταίας δεκαετίας. Πρόκειται για μια περιοχή, η οποία λόγω της αυξημένης τάσης αστικοποίησης, μετατρέπεται από παραθεριστική, σε περιοχής πρώτης κατοικίας. Παράλληλα, το εργοστάσιο πορσελάνης, το οποίο και λειτούργησε από το 1952 έως το 1969 αποτέλεσε φάρο οικονομίας για την ευρύτερη περιοχή καθώς έδωσε θέσεις εργασίας σε πολλούς κάτοικους της Αντικείμενο της διπλωματικής εργασίας αποτελεί η αναβίωση και η επανένταξη του παλιού εργοστασίου πορσελάνης της Νέας Μάκρης στον πολεοδομικό ιστό της περιοχής, ως ένας νέος πολυχώρος περιβάλλοντος και πολιτισμού. Η Νέα Μάκρη είναι μια περιοχή που ανά τα χρόνια έχει αλλάξει πολλές φορές χαρακτήρα, βιώνοντας άνθιση την περίοδο της εκβιομηχάνισης αλλά και παρακμή λόγω της οικονομικής κρίσης της τελευταίας δεκαετίας. Πρόκειται για μια περιοχή, η οποία λόγω της αυξημένης τάσης αστικοποίησης, μετατρέπεται από παραθεριστική, σε περιοχής πρώτης κατοικίας. heal.abstract	This thesis presents the revival and the adaptive reuse of the abandoned enamel porcelain factory compound of Nea Makri in the urban fabric of the area, as a new multifunctional culture and environment centre. Nea Makri is an area that has changed many times over the years experiencing a boom during the period of industrialization but also a decline due to the economic crisis of the last decade. Αn area which due to the increased trend of urbanization, is being transformed from a holiday home into a first home area. At the same time, the porcelain factory, which operated from 1952 to 1969, increased the economy for the wider area as it gave jobs to many residents of the area. The needs of the area for new infrastructure and public spaces with socio-cultural character, but also the needs of the environmental disaster led us to create a sustainable multi-space environment and culture, with uses of creative employment, cultural events and green spaces. A space that will generally have an educational character for the information of the inhabitants, and especially of the young children, around the concept of the circular economy and the exploitation of waste as raw materials (Upcycling). The multifunctional center Porcelana plays a key role cross-sectorally. Starting with the education of the new generations, proceeding to the social upliftment and the cultural wealth of the region, ending up with the ecological consciousness that we owe to our planet. Due to all these reasons, the whole building complex and the surrounding area, follow an ecological course that is environmentally friendly, based on targeted sustainability strategies that take place within it and its design. Some of them are the selection of materials, such as the wood for the new interventions and the construction of a new structure, but also the preservation and promotion of the natural wealth of the plot.	en
