heal.abstract	Η αρχαία Αμαθούντα αποτέλεσε ένα από τα σημαντικότερα βασίλεια που άκμασε στην Κύπρο. Η διπλωματική μας εργασία αφορά την ανάδειξη του αρχαιολογικού πλούτου και την ενοποίηση του αρχαιολογικού χώρου σε μια ενιαία αφήγηση που μπορεί να συνδυάσει τον περίπατο στο τοπίο, την επίσκεψη στο μνημείο και την μουσειακή εμπειρία. Η αφήγηση αυτή θα παραμένει πάντα σε αντίστιξη με τη σύγχρονη εικόνα της πόλης, που παρουσιάζει ένα νέο αναπτυξιακό πρότυπο με ψηλά κτήρια που αναπτύσσονται κατά μήκος του παράκτιου μετώπου. Ο επισκέπτης καλείται να βιώσει το παρελθόν μέσα στο κυρίαρχο πλαίσιο του παρόντος.	el
heal.abstract	Ancient Amathus was one of the most important kingdoms that flourished in Cyprus. Our diploma thesis concerns the highlighting of the archaeological heritage and the unification of the archaeological site in a single narrative which can combine walking in the landscape, visiting the monument and the museum storytelling. The narrative will remain in contrast to the existing image of the city, that presents a new development model, according to which large urban developments showed linear growth along the coastal front. Visitors have to experience the past within the dominant framework of the present.	en
