heal.abstract	Η εργασία εξετάζει τον τρόπο με τον οποίο το ευρύτερο πολιτιστικό περιβάλλον επηρεάζει τη διαδικασία σχεδιασμού/κατασκευής, αλλά και τη μορφή μιας κατοικίας. Συγκεκριμένα, αναλύει τη διαδικασία με την οποία παράγοντες που αφορούν το πολιτισμικό, κοινωνικό και οικονομικό υπόβαθρο του περιβάλλοντός διαμορφώνουν τη διάταξή της κατοικίας και τη διάρθρωση της ζωής μέσα σε αυτή. Ως περίπτωση μελέτης χρησιμοποιήθηκε μια συγκεκριμένη οικογένεια, η οικογένεια Πιτούλη, η οποία πέρασε από τον Βλάχικο ημινομαδικό τρόπο ζωής που επέβαλλε η κτηνοτροφία στις αρχές του 20ου αιώνα, σε μια μορφή πρώιμης αστικοποίησης στην Ηγουμενίτσα του Μεσοπολέμου. Οι δύο καταστάσεις ορίζονται με την αλλαγή της κατοικίας της οικογένειας, η οποία πέρασε από την κλαδόπλεχτη, μονόχωρη κυκλική καλύβα των νομάδων ποιημένων, σε ένα εκλεκτικιστικό μέγαρο με ευρωπαϊκές αναφορές. Το απαραίτητο υλικό για την ανάλυση, συγκεντρώθηκε τόσο από βιβλιογραφία, όσο και από επιτόπια παρατήρηση και αφορά κυρίως τον τρόπο ζωής στα δύο πρότυπα κατοικιών και γίνεται μέσα από μαρτυρίες των ενοίκων, και ύστερα την εκπόνηση και μελέτη αρχιτεκτονικών σχεδίων -φέρνοντας στο προσκήνιο ένα διαφορετικό τρόπο ανάγνωσης του χώρου μέσω του βιώματος. Τέλος, η επεξεργασία της πληροφορίας έγινε με τέτοιο τρόπο, ώστε να σχηματισθεί μια πολυπρισματική αφήγηση των γεγονότων και του τρόπου ζωής της συγκεκριμένης εποχής σε μία περιοχή που μέχρι τώρα έχει μείνει ανεξερεύνητη.	el
heal.abstract	The thesis examines the way that the cultural environment affects the designing/construction process and the form of dwelling. More specifically, it studies how the cultural, social and economical environment, affect the layout of the residence, as well as, the life within. As a case study it uses a particular family, the Pitoulis, that during the midwar period, witnessed the transition of dwelling, from a seminomadic Aromanian (Vlach) way of life, to a bourgeois urban life at the city of Igoumenitsa. The two different states of dwelling are described by documenting the change of the family residence, which went from the round, wattle, single-space hut of the nomad shepherds, to eclectic bourgeois mansion with European references. The research was conducted both throurgh bibliographic research and through a hands-on field study that interviewed the remaining inhabitants, focusing on the ways of life of the two distinct residential models. A series of detailed drawings were also conducted, attempting to interpret space through the users’ experience. Finally, all gathered material is being described through a multifaceted narrative that attempts to give life to the events and the ways of living during that particular time and spatial frame that still remains unexplored.	en
