heal.abstract	Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία αποτελεί μία πρόταση δημιουργίας Σχολής τεχνιτών πέτρας με σκοπό την διαφύλαξη και εκμάθηση της τέχνης της λιθοδομής. Για το λόγο αυτό επιλέχθηκε παραδοσιακός οικισμός, και πιο συγκεκριμένα το Πλαίσιο Φιλιατών, που φέρει ως σήμερα αναλλοίωτα τα στοιχεία της Ηπειρώτικης λίθινης δόμησης. Η σημασία της σχολής για τον τόπο είναι μεγάλη καθώς διαμορφώνεται ένας μαστορικός θύλακας, ένα πολιτισμικό και κοινωνικό σημείο αναφοράς που μπορεί να ξεπεράσει τα όρια του Ελλαδικού χώρου μέσω της διασυνοριακής συνεργασίας. Η πρόταση αποτελείται από τρεις ενότητες, τη σχολή - πυκνωτή της εκπαιδευτικής διαδικασίας, τους ξενώνες για τους σπουδαστές και τον ίδιο τον οικισμό - πεδίο μελέτης και πρακτικών εφαρμογών. Η δυναμική του κέντρου του οικισμού, έτσι όπως προκύπτει από την ανάλυση, συντέλεσε στην επιλογή του χώρου επέμβασης και στη μορφή του νέου κτιρίου. Έτσι, η βασική συνθετική δομή ορίζεται από τη χάραξη ενός ισχυρού γραμμικού στοιχείου σε σχήμα Γ, που περικλείει τα υφιστάμενα κτίρια του μαχαλά και την αυλή. Η σχολή διαθέτει εργαστήριο λάξευσης και σχεδίου, βιβλιοθήκη, αίθουσα πολλαπλών χρήσεων και τη διοίκηση, ενώ τα υφιστάμενα κελύφη με τα οποία συνδέεται, αποκαθίστανται και λειτουργούν πλέον με νέες χρήσεις, ανοιχτές προς το κοινό, ως πωλητήριο και καφετέρια. Αποκαθίστανται επίσης, και επαναχρησιμοποιούνται ως ξενώνες τα τρία αρχοντικά πλησίον της σχολής καθότι αποτελούν το χαρακτηριστικό μέτωπο για τον οικισμό. Σκοπός όλων των αποκαταστάσεων είναι η διατήρηση της ταυτότητας και του παραδοσιακού χαρακτήρα του οικισμού και η βιωσιμότητα των κτιρίων σύμφωνα με τις ανάγκες της νέας τους χρήσης.	el
heal.abstract	The present diploma project suggests the formation of a new institution: a Stonemasonry School in order to preserve, share and transfer the knowledge of the stonemasonry art to the next generations. In doing so a traditional village, called Plaisio Filiates, was chosen because it maintains the architectural elements of Epirus stone construction unchanged until today. The importance of the school for the region is significant, because it serves as a craftsmanship hub, a cultural and social resource which can exceed the geographical boundaries of Greece through the cross-border cooperation. The proposal consists of three sections, the school - accumulator of educational process, the dorm rooms for the students and the village itself - field of study and practice. The spatial dynamics of the village’s center , resulting from the analysis , has contributed to the selection of the intervention area and the form of the new building. Therefore, the basic compositional structure is defined by the drawing of a strong linear element in L shape, which encloses the existing buildings of ‘‘mahalas’’ (neighborhood) and the patio. The program of the school is divided into the following main functions : stone carving and design laboratories, library, multipurpose hall and the administration. Also the school is connected with the existing building envelopes, which are restored and, from now on, operate with new uses, open to the public, as a shop and a cafeteria. Furthermore, the three mansion houses, above the school, are restored and reused as dorm rooms, due to the fact that they consist the village’s distinctive landscape. The restorations aim to preserve the identity and the traditional character of the village and the sustainability of the buildings according with the needs of their new uses.	en
