heal.abstract	Η παρούσα εργασία αφορά την επανάχρηση του παλαιού λεπροκομείου της Χίου ως τουριστικό κατάλυμα. Η εργασία χωρίζεται σε τρία μέρη, ξεκινώντας από την ανάλυση, συνεχίζοντας στην αποτύπωση της υφιστάμενης κατάστασης του συγκροτήματος και καταλήγοντας στην πρόταση επανάχρησης του κελύφους. Για τις ανάγκες της εργασίας ήταν απαραίτητη η μετάβαση στο νησί για την πρωτογενή έρευνα πάνω στο συγκρότημα. Το πρώτο λεπροκομείο στο νησί ιδρύθηκε από τους Γενουάτες το 1378, σε μια προσπάθεια προστασίας τόσο της τοπικής οικονομίας όσο και της υγείας των ντόπιων και των ναυτικών. Το παρόν συγκρότημα ολοκληρώθηκε το 1909, μετά την κατάρρευση του προηγούμενου από τον σεισμό του 1881. Το συγκρότημα αναπτύσσεται γραμμικά και αποτελείται από δεκαέξι οικίσκους με δύο ευρύχωρα δωμάτια στον κάθε έναν. Στον ενδιάμεσο χωρο βρίσκεται μεταβατικός χώρος και μικροί βοηθητικοί χώροι. Τα δωμάτια των οικίσκων προορίζονται αποκλειστικά για δωμάτια φιλοξενίας και χώρο πολιτισμού, ενώ για τις ανάγκες του τουριστικού καταλύματος προστίθεται ένα κτήριο που θα λάβει συμπληρωματικές χρήσεις. Η προθήκη αποτελείται από δύο επίπεδα εκ των οποίων το ένα υπόσκαφο και θα περιλάβει επιπρόσθετες λειτουργείες όπως την είσοδο, χώρο εστιατορίου, χώρο ευεξίας και χώρο πολιτισμού. Στόχος της εργασίας ήταν η κατά το δυνατόν μικρότερη επέμβαση στο διατηρητέο κέλυφος του λεπροκομείου και η επανάχρηση του υπό όρους που δύνανται να ευνοήσουν τη διατήρηση, αξιοποίηση και βιωσιμότητα του συγκροτήματος.	el
heal.abstract	The present thesis focuses on the reuse of the old leprosarium of Chios as a tourist accommodation. The work is divided into three parts. The first is the analysis of the island. Second part is the recording, documenting and interpreting of the build work of the old facility, and the last is the proposal for reuse. For the needs of this work it was necessary the on-site research of the complex. The first leprosarium on the island was founded by the Genoese in 1378, in an effort to protect both the local economy and the health of locals and sailors. The present complex was completed in 1909, after the collapse of the previous one by an earthquake in 1881. The complex is developed linearly and consists of sixteen buildings with two rooms in each. The intermediate space is occupied by a transitional space and small auxiliary spaces. The rooms are reused exclusively for hotel rooms and culture area. A building is added that will receive additional uses for the needs of the tourist accommodation. The building consists of 2 levels, one of which is underground and will include additional functions such as the entrance, restaurant area, wellness area and cultural area. The aim of the thesis is to minimize the intervention in the preserved complex of the leprosarium and to reuse it under conditions that may favor the maintenance, utilization and sustainability of it.	en
