heal.abstract	Αφορμή για το θέμα αποτελεί μια επίσκεψη στον αεροδιάδρομο του πρώην διεθνή αερολιμένα Ελληνικού, την άλλοτε μεγαλύτερη εναέρια πύλη της χώρας. Ο χώρος αποτελεί μέρος την πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς του 20ου αιώνα, και η διπλωματική προσπαθεί να διατυπώσει ένα σενάριο κατοίκησης των σκληρών επιφανειών του αεροδρομίου, με σκοπό τη διατήρηση της μνήμης της εμπειρίας του χώρου. Πως διαχειριζόμαστε παράλληλα τις μεγάλες σκληρές επιφάνειες που έχουν απομείνει; Στο χώρο του αεροδρομίου κυριαρχεί η μεγάλη κλίμακα, αυτή των αεροσκαφών, και η επιπεδότητα της αχανούς έκτασης. Η διπλωματική προτείνει τη διαμόρφωση μιας περιοχής μνήμης μέσα στο προς υλοποίηση πάρκο που πρόκειται να ενταχθεί στην ανάπλαση του αεροδρομίου. Ένα βυθισμένο θέμα, ώστε η επιπεδότητα του χώρου να διατηρηθεί, οριοθετημένο σε ένα απόλυτο τετράγωνο σχήμα μέσα στις καμπύλες χαράξεις του πολεοδομικού σχεδίου, ένα σύμπλεγμα δημόσιων χρήσεων που περιλαμβάνει υπαίθριους, ημιυπαίθριους και κλειστούς χώρους και διαμορφώνεται με χρήσεις τραβηγμένες από την εμπειρία του αεροδρομίου και μια πορεία που σε οδηγεί στην αναβίωση του χώρου μέχρι να καταλήξεις στο νέο κόσμο του αεροδρομίου. Η οργάνωση του θέματος είναι τριμερής και βασίζεται στην διατήρηση των υφιστάμενων επιφανειών, υλικών και χαράξεων και την σύνδεση τους με ένα αφήγημα που στόχο έχει να διατηρήσει την εμπειρία του χώρου ζωντανή. Το ραντεβού, προπάντων είναι αυτό του ανθρώπου, με τη μεγάλη κλίμακα και τα χαρακτηριστικά που διαμορφώνουν την εμπειρία του αεροδρομίου.	el
heal.abstract	The motive behind this thesis is a visit to the runway of the former Hellinikon International Airport, the once largest air portal of Greece. The site is part of the cultural heritage of the 20th century, and the project attempts to form a scenario of inhabiting the hard surfaces of the airport, in order to preserve the memory of the space. Moreover there is the question of how do we treat the large hardscaping surfaces that are now dying? The area’s main characteristics are the hyper scale, the one of the aircraft, and the flatness of the of the viewing field. This thesis proposes the creation of a memory area inside the park to be implemented, that will be included in the urban regeneration of the airport. A submerged public space, so that the flatness of the space is conserved, delimited in an absolute square shape within the curved outlines of the urban plan, a complex of public uses that includes outdoor, semi-outdoor and indoor spaces that where originally held in the airport and a fairytale that leads you to the revival of the space until you end up in the new world of the site. The three-part arrangement of the project is based on the preservation of the existing surfaces, materials and engravings and on the connection with a narrative that aims to keep the experience of the space alive. The rendez-vous is, above all, that of the man, with the large hyper-scale and the characteristics that shape the experience of the airport.	en
